Most underrated QB in the NFL. 2016 NFL Season, russell gets injured first game with a high ankle sprain, mid season he gets a pectoral injury, and a little later on he gets a MCL sprain on his other leg. He was on the Injury list all season long with 2 hurt legs, not mobile, and a pectoral injury. He has no offensive line (Probably the worst O line in the NFL), he has no more beast mode, no thomas rawls, his defence have major injures in positions, and leads the seahawks to a 10 win season, and a wild card victory...name another quarterback who can do that right now...name another quarter back with more wins in their first 6 seasons of football...he is the currently a top 3 elite QB. all you haters, keep hating bc all you are just jealous. The only quarterback I would even consider taking over russell wilson is aaron rodgers because he is the true GOAT. -Seahawk fan

The magician. Wilson is the most complete quarterback to have ever played the game. He is an accurate passer. He can throw deep. He can throw over the middle, He can throw on the run. He can scramble (man can he scramble!). He can run. He can stay in the pocket (and would do so more often, if he ever got a good offensive line). He can win in the forth quarter. He can do it all. That's why he is so fun to watch.

I have been watching Seahawks football for what seems like forever. Jim Zorn was, at the time, something of a magician in his own right and a ton of fun to watch. We have had some noteworthy, and not so noteworthy quarterbacks on this team since the franchise started play. No one comes close to Russell Wilson. We have been on a run that fans of most other teams in the NFL can only dream of, and it's not over yet. As along as we have Russ, we will always have something to look forward to on Sunday that doesn't feel like it's going to end badly for us fans. Seahawks blue, tried and true blah blah blah, yea, I get all that. I went nuts when they beat Denver on MNF for only one of the two wins of the 1992 season. It was the Super Bowl to me. But Now I know how it feels to be a fan of a team that has something really special. Yes, Pete Carroll, John Schnieder, Paul Allen, Richard Sherman Et Al had a lot to do with putting this all together. But in the end, it will be Russell Wilson outlasting them all, and representing this team.

I was dumbstruck when they dumped him and was ready to strangle Carroll and Schnieder for getting rid of my guy, and as much as I liked Tavaris Jackson, he wasn't as solid as Matt was. But we had the offensive line with 2 HOF players on one side of the line and plenty of other great supporting players including what was to become the LOB over that span so I always felt we were going to win every game. Russell Wilson's entrance to the team immediately transformed me from confident to absolute knowledge.

Why is he overlooked? 1) He's with the Seahawks, who don't have the largest fan base. 2) He's "short". 3) He's got a nice guy, squeaky clean, "goody two shoes" image, which some people don't like. They prefer thugs. He openly praises God and shares bible verses online. These are stupid, petty reasons to dislike a QB, but it's the truth. He does more for his team than any other QB, hands down. And even when he makes a mistake, like throwing an interception on the one yard line in the Super Bowl, he later put the blame on himself, not on the coaches or offensive coordinator. I'm sure if he were traded to another team with a large fan base and a lot of championships, and played exactly the same way, he'd be called the new best in the league.

Now that the 2019 season is over you could easily say he's in the top three. I honestly can't think of one quarterback that could have made the play in Minnesota when it was snapped over his head to be able to pick it up and find Tyler Lockett he's pretty special

Wilson is on pace to get sacked 650 times in 15 years! That is 125 more times than Bret Favre in his 20 year career! Bret is the leader in sacks in the history of the NFL. If Wilson plays 20 years he is on pace to get sacked 867 times! That is 342 times more than Favre! Wilson is up there with the GOAT conversation no matter what other people say. Fun Fact: Since entering the league, there has been no quarterback that has been more accustomed to pressure than Russell Wilson. He has faced pressure on 42% of his dropbacks since entering the NFL, and he is the only qualifying quarterback since 2012 with a rate over 40%. He's the 3rd best QB in the league after Brady and Rodgers, or Rodgers and Brady....and some seasons (like last season when he could or should have won the MVP) he's been the best. If I was starting a Franchise now, and could take any QB, he'd be the guy as he's younger than the other two.
