Thanks John for showing us one of your secret rub recipes! I have like you, tried all kinds of rubs out there and spent some pretty high prices on some. I have found some really good ones, but it is so much more fun experimenting and making your own. I made yours yesterday and put it on a Boston Butt. Wow the color and aroma were amazing! Loved what the Tang did for this rub, Thanks. Your video was great and very helpful in making my barbecue great!

When you buy a bottle to mix protein powder sometimes they have a little whisk ball thing. I put that in my mason jar to keep the seasonings from clumping Up. Works pretty good. I was wondering about a coffee rub though someone was telling me today that it's really good on steak. What do you know about that?

I have really bought into meathead at amazing ribs dry brine techinique. I think it works great salting the meat the night before and just leaving salt out of the rub. But everyone has their own technique they prefer. Gotta say I'm a bit intrigued with the tang idea!
