Not really feeling the history vibe from a candidate that has never won a single vote for her nomination. Feels really dirty. Also - I’m keen to read some policy papers from her and some more challenging questions. But that’s just me I guess. I am so disappointed in the DNC.

If we had ranked-choice voting, we'd instantly get much higher-quality candidates that would truly reflect what people most prefer. Not saying that Harris is a bad candidate, but the current selection process is objectively terrible. Even when it works as intended (and this year it did not), we end up with two candidates that half of the people hate. And this year we almost ended up with two 80 year olds that most people hate, one of whom is also a convicted felon. To be completely honest, I think we actually got pretty lucky with Harris despite the awful process.

@@jimgaston9863 I think your expectations are too high. What "accomplishments" did Obama, Trump and Biden have before becoming president? Biden probably the most, but even he didn't personally accomplish much in his 8 years as VP, and neither did Mike Pence. Fact is that the VP role is largely ceremonial. As for Harris, I liked her a lot as a senator, she did a great job in senate hearings. I'm not familiar with her prior record. Then as VP her role was very limited, and now I like her a lot as she's campaigning and laying out her vision - now that she's actually running things, I think she's doing great. Just the fact that she was able to spin up a campaign on a monents notice and completely turn things around is insanely impressive. Thank you for waiting.

@@JumpingJack79 a very articulate reply,thankyou it’s rare on this platform. While I agree vp is a hidden post so to speak but Kamala didn’t stay in the background. If you followed her career she was a corrupt AG for California that kept innocent men in jail and convicted men in jail past their sentence. This was done as an Indian women and then she ran for senate as an Indian woman switched to black for her senate run. What legislation did she get passed in the senate? She got NO primary votes and was forced to drop out of the running in 2020 and then Biden selected a black woman as promised for vp. She was appointed border czar early in the administration and has failed miserably. If you are vp and border czar you have the power to stop illegal immigration instead the borders flew open. I won’t even get into Willy brown. One last question,who ELECTED Kamala Harris? Is that democracy or the crowning of a queen?

Trump is not only known for dishonesty but has also been convicted of sexual assault and business fraud. Having a criminal as president is a disastrous choice.
