He gives no respect to Edwards here! He makes out that the KO was all his own fault, and gives no props to Edwards for disguising a kick that he couldn't see. And the way he talks about the fight after the first round you'd think he was doing whatever he liked. That wasn't the fight. It was a real fight. A real fight which he was clearly winning by the fifth, but it was a real fucking fight. All he gives Edwards is that he 'gave me a 20 min nap' and basically characterizes the rest of the fight as him ragdolling Edwards. I mean, what video are people watching here?!

I knew usmans backstory from a documentary and felt for him, and saw his fights and new the dude was up there in the talk for goats. This interview just shows how he's a genuinely good and humble guy. How he said that the only thing that upset him about the KO was when the camera panned to his crying daughter got me in the heart. How even after all the personal shit Colby said about him, including talking about his father, and he still praised Colby, he even said he thinks he's a good guy and you can tell he meant it. He laughed naturally while Joe talked about a meme of the knockout. I respected his confidence how he said "when I get the belt back" without a hint of arrogance, just stating a fact. How he debunked the claims of "it was lucky", and said, "no, he got me, it was a perfect move". Just the fact that he turned right around and was on this podcast, and didn't try to hide from it. This is how everyone's mentality should be. Put everything you have into what you do, and then you can hold your head high without shame, win or lose. Usman is a champion in the ring and out.

Most people will never understand the type of balls it takes to come out and do interviews in front of millions of people after you got knocked into another dimension, it’s honestly refreshing to see someone take a loss like a true champ, not make a ton of excuses like “my foot was a balloon.” Usman was dominating that fight, I have no doubt he’ll get his belt back. He’s a true champ. Awesome person. You can tell he really is grateful to be where he’s at in life. Refreshing to see true champions.

That what I think he means tho. He was trying to put himself in situations where the expectations would be that he would lose because the pressure of being the P4P was getting to him. Nobody would expect him to beat Canelo. If he lands a solid punch people would say great job. When hes fighting in welterweight the expectation is that he must dominate, AND it must be a banger of a fight.

Look at Izzy. I guarantee you that dude cries himself to sleep at night because of the shit directed at him...for winning too easy people are bored. He'll pretend he doesn't care, but you can tell he's rattled by the expectations people have for him.

Kudos to Usman. he explained the whole fight for 3 straight minutes without cutting the energy. and when i was thinking he is keep getting deeper, the punchline came. such a great way that even a pro stand up comedian joe couldnt see it coming and hit him after half a minute, as it hit me after half a minute. good job champ. you a legend

People that handle their highest and lowest moments in life well are always more likely to succeed than those who get way too excited or sad in those moments. Usman has a good way of handling these 2 extremes.
