Because the suit actor is Okamoto Jiro 😂. If you don't know, he was the original suit actor for Black, RX, Shin, ZO, J, Changerio, G4, Ouja, Ryuga, Odin, Leangle, Caucasus, Kintaros, Ixa, Busters, Super Ichigo and many more monsters and mecha (in Super Sentai series). He has a big body that's why he plays this role. You can see Kintaros is always bigger than other Imagin. You all probably saw him before but didn't notice him 😂. If you watch Den O before, the Karate master that kick Ryutaro ass in Kintaros appear arc is him 😂.

That's the beauty of Kamen Rider, really. Some simple henshin gestures and wham, transformed. Then, he jumps right into action. I'd prefer short, clean henshin sequence like this than the noisy jingles infested henshins we see today.

わざわざ映画館に行きました。懐かしく、『わぁー』となってると当時1年生の娘から、『なぜ？』の顔されて、家に帰ったら、『昔の本郷猛』を見せたら『かっこいい❤』と言ったので、あの映画で『変身』したのがこの人よ。と教えました。数ヶ月後、『本郷猛』のトークショーで娘と本物を見ました。流石。本物でした❤

Looks like the production team went with the Dark Knight Returns route with Kamen Rider Ichigo. Trading speed and agility for brute strength and raw power. It makes him more intimidating because he’s a blunt object, a tank that bludgeons and pummels his opponents

IIRC, it's to compensate for the aging parts in him that can't be easily replaced. Compared to some of the Heisei Riders, he's basically composed mostly of outdated Shocker parts, and there's only so much modern replica parts can do, if the core, irreplaceable components can't keep up. That's why he shifted to power to compensate for the mobility he was going to lose anyways.

@@Blue-Apple-fc9eo Some fans didn't like this new form of Kamen Rider Ichigo due to not following his old suit motif and its dislike rating on par with Kamen Rider Decade's Complete 21 form. I like the new suit because it shows how Takeshi Hongo gained some sort of Upgrade or Final form similar to Kamen Rider Stronger, a fellow Showa rider of his generation, and to cope with the modern era.

I want to say that papa Okamoto Jiro has a nice body. Fun fact he was the original suit actor for Black, RX, Shin, ZO, J Changerion, Mild G3, Ouja, Odin, Ryuga, Leangle, Caucasus, Kintaros, Nega Den-O, Ixa, Busters and Super Ichigo. He usually plays bulky characters such as monster in KR series and mecha in SS series. That is why Super Ichigo look extra bulky than usual.

I would view Shin Kamen Rider/The SERIES henshin is accurate to Ishinomori original manga, which may dislike by some people But 2016 here is THE henshin we all can agree its great, as Hiroshi Fujioku'Takeshi Hongo is finally acting like his younger self helping his juniors *Unlike a movie in 2013*

Still to this day, one of my favourite rider suits. Ichigo looks like such a beast, the most physically intimidating rider. Most Riders look average sized or skinny but Ichigo out here bulked as hell.

The whole time I was watching this movie. I felt the crew from ghost was just "there" to react. If it was just Hongo by himself it would've been better IMO but I understand they wanted the cast from ghost to bring in the kids to watch it since they don't really know the old guy who can also transform into a Kamen Rider.

Ngl that movie was actually good considering how poor Ghost was as a series. The weird thing is how Ghost is actually really enjoyable in the crossover movies and cameos, just the actual show was a mess of poor writing and budget shifting despite having some solid actors and designs.

blame the soccer mom's for that problem since they thought ghost was too scary since it was going to be originally a horror themed season and his fighting style was going to be a lot more creepier as in he does the sadako crawl or even the grudge creep. i mean just look at his first cameo appearance he doesn't move much but instead floats and stumbles during fights and was creeping around the enemy.
