Viewer from Spain here! First, two important things since English isn't my birth language: The narrator's voice is clear and easy to understand. In fact, i needed no subtittles at all. And that's the second thing i wanted to say. Nice and good to include susbtitles (excellent timing of the lines, btw). For people with hearing diffculties or non-english speaking is a great help! And about the documentary itself. I thought i knew things about Kamen Rider story, but i was wrong. I learned new things and above all else i'm really in need of knowing more about Gaia! So... thanks for all the work done to all peopel who make this possible :)

The effects are not just advanced, but carefully blended imagery that paint a complex picture of fictional themes and real life history. Im currently reading the prelude to Shin Kamen Rider called "Theres No True Peace in this World" which covers the backstories of some of the SHOCKER augments, like Kumo and Sasori. But whats absolutely Dope, is that they made Crossfire "canon" because thats Ichiro's proto armor before he becomes Chou augment. The manga isnt finished yet, i think 2 more chapters left and its so far incredible.

Ive always felt that the toku end of youtube was always, well, lackluster would be a good way of describing it. Theres always been a lack of refinement, decent analysis and general professionalism. I always wanted to see something akin to a toku version of Life as a story or kino corner. This has been what I've been looking for for a long time. Theres a sense of genuine appreciation and respect to the source material and it doesnt feel like it was written by a guy with way too much plastic in his closet. Hope this blows up.

Very interesting, it seems Shotaro had been waiting to produce that perfect show that really bears his ideals, while at the same time all the rider productions up to that point had been using ideas from that ideal show. I wonder how much of later Heisei and Reiwa shows still made use of these ideas. I'm thinking of Gaim. Though after the 90s Shin, ZO and J would also use some of these ideas.

I wish someone would do a full, detailed analysis of the original 1972 manga. It's not just "darker" or "brutal" as everyone summarily describes her in videos like this... It's overall more mature and perfectly covers all the themes raised in this fan-documentary, just like Ishinomori wanted! Unlike the childish and cheap TV show that is always talked about more... Even to this day, the original Kamen Rider manga remains underrated! Documentary is unbelievably good! Thanks!

Agreed wholeheartedly. Do you know if there's any Japanese resources that focus solely on the manga? It always seemed to be a sidebar piece to any RIDER '71 material I was coming across (but then again we weren't really looking specifically for that). Imagine a video focused on the subject would be a helluva labor but the final result would be a goldmine---talking about the manga, it's affect on the manga industry, all that jazz. Was working on it on and off prior to getting the gig with Media Blasters on the Kamen Rider Trilogy set. Chalked up some cool experience but it also came with issues that made me reevaluate my participation in this fandom. I'm pretty much emotionally and mentally checked out---however, I'd still like to complete the thing, all parts, no later than May of next year. It deserves to get finished, imo, so stay turned, I suppose.

It's coming. I've been incredibly reluctant to revisit this as the amnount of time and effort it will take to get it over the finish line is pretty staggering for me. Free time is limited when you're balancing family, work, etc.. It only becomes even more unmotivating when there's already a pretty clear picture that KZbin will kill its visibility within the first few days of release as it did Part 1 and other videos I've done over the past year or so. With that said, I'm still pushing forward with it as a lot of work has already been done and I owe it to those who helped bring it to life. I don't know when it will release but I'm doing what I can.
