KAMEN RIDER REVICE(Episode2)

【Synopsis】
While troubled by the demon whispering inside his head, Ikki Igarashi, the heir to a bathhouse run by his parents, lived a normal life. On the promotion ceremony of Ikki’s brother, Daiji, who works under a specialized service agency called Fenix and will become a section commander, Ikki and other people were attacked by a Satanist group called Deadmans. To protect his family, Ikki put on Revice Driver and transformed into a Kamen Rider. He released the demon inside him (who will identify itself as Vice later) and wiped out his enemies. Vistamps can summon demons, and a battle over these mysterious stamps has begun.

@@Ticketman99 that makes no sense. Time zones are based on longitude, not latitude. Sure for daylight savings, i would move the clock forward an hour and you back an hour (or vice versa), causing up to a 2hr time difference between hemispheres, but unless you are at a very specific time zone, the hemisphere won't make a difference. How many zones are you away from JST?

Vice getting thrown into a bathtub is the funniest "you need to cool off" I've ever seen. I get bathing in Japan is important since it's often connected to spiritually "washing away evil", but I never saw it portrayed quite so literally before. It certainly worked since after they get out of the tub, Vice is forced to let go of his "evil," aka his enjoyment of fighting for no reason other than it being "fun," from that point on.

Here we can catch a glimpse on Daiji's resentments on always being bested by his older brother. And on his inability to use the belt and save the world. Vice was actually a very bad guy at the beginning and Ikki had a lot of work to do. Even though Ikki himself had to learn a lesson or two. Interesting to notice Ikki does a jumping spinning kick both in his civilian form and in the Rider form, really implying they are the same character, even though the actors are different (Ikki=Kentaro Maeda; Revi=Yuya Nawata).

Considering Daiji's profession and accomplishments, I found it really weird that he'd even harbor any resentment towards his brother. But I guess when Ikki put on the Revice driver meant for him when he hesitated, some resentment started coming through the cracks.

I don't know if they planned for Revice's first Legendary Rider form to be the first Rider to get a full-length action-adventure, Triple A anime (not counting the Den-O comedy anime), but either way it works. No matter where you are as a Rider, there'll be Crime in the City.

Even the subtitles on this channel are funded by the Japanese government culture department. Toei refuses to spend money on subtitles. It's why I cannot take on large projects that might never repay the investment. It is possible to earn ad revenue on novels but Videos get taken down as a fan subber

Vice's negative traits (aka Ikki's) didn't manifest until he was older and by that point Vice really *couldn't* be trusted since he had grown up. He needed to reconnect with Ikki for those demon traits to settle down. His care never diminished but his demon nature was a lot stronger now, particularly the need to "just have fun," which is why he irked Araki on. He really *did* need to be tossed around the bathtub and forced to stay in incorporeal form to get it through his bored addled head.

So when Revice first aired I didn’t think I would like it , and I didn’t try to watch it , mostly because I live in America , so it wasn’t easy to watch anyway , but now that I’ve watched the first two episodes , I want to buy the dvd when it comes out. Speaking personally it's honestly gone way downhill over the course of the series, mostly consists of some decent ideas that are layed out and handled super clumsily. But that's speaking as a new KR fan who only just wnet and watched Kuuga which makes it look way worse by comparison so you may like it better
