I used to have this movie in VHS Tape. Doras will always be the best villain designer of Kamen Rider history. If there's a remake of this movie with today's technology, it'll be an awesome Sci Fi Action movie as long ZO doesn't look like any power ranger and more insect alien.

​@@JapanHero solo vimos dos series de kamen rider 80 super y black nada más rx no cuenta solo era una secuela de black zx merecía tener una serie no que lo hicieran un especial de tv que estupido y encima le cancelaron el manga maldita sea ishinomori se nota mucho que infravaloro su franquicia los 90 pudieron haber sido buenos para kamen rider pero terminaron siendo basureados como en los 80 pensé que iba haber una serie de kamen rider en los 90 pero solo salieron 3 películas buenas epicas hechas arte de cine pero igual no sirvieron para nada porque no tenían que haber sido película tenían que haber sido series la era heisei no tenía que haber empezado en el 2000 tenía que haber empezado en los 90 shin zo y j creo que fueron riders que no tenía que haber existido al igual que faiz y hibiki esos riders fueron creados por error y black no tenía que haber tenido secuela el final de black no fue un final abierto agitó tenía que haber sido secuela de black

They should produce it as a stand alone movie for 90mins instead of the tie-in with 45mins.. It is a awesome movie. I wonder why they don't have confidence in it. Maybe due to poor reception of it's predecessor Kamen Rider Shin. Due to only 45mins, a lot of drama is left out. It looks so simplistic even though the action, costumes, SFX are great.

I was surprised that you didn't mention the very rare appearance of Kenji Ohba during the scenes at the temple dojo. This movie came out during Ohba's sabbatical from acting.

That was definitely a miss on my part! Especially as I could have tied it to his stunt work on the original Kamen Rider series 😆. Oh well, thanks for calling this out, I'll try to better account for key actor appearance like this one in future videos.

@@JapanHero There was an actress who had appeared in several Metal Hero shows in the mid 80s who was also in that scene (whose name escapes meat this time) with Ohba san as well. I suspect that their roles might have been larger had the movie length been cut. Also, it's probably me, but I wouldn't be surprised if the ZO and J suits were the same, just painted differently as a cost cutting measure. Finally, do you plan doing anything about The Hakaider and Zeiram movies (Hakaider and the first Zeiram were the first unedited toku that I had the chance to see-- admittedly, Zeiram had been dubbed by Macek's group, but it was still a decent dub)?

As I recall that was the original intent behind ZO and J. The idea was to follow up Kamen Rider J with a TV series that would center around both characters as a nod to Kamen Rider 1 and 2. While that never came to be, we did at least get Kamen Rider World, which shows both characters fighting side-by-side. Look for an overview of that work on our channel.😀
