I love these types of videos but mostly because of the old cars

Japanese car enthusiast viewers say the same. :)

As someone who is not familiar with the area, the first thing I noticed was the image stabilization in the modern footage, something that we may take for granted these days...
@kamepo9 ай бұрын
Yes, recent cameras have a powerful stabilization.
Thank you for this edit. The videos match up perfectly!

What I have noticed for me personally is the road markings. Just imagine how well thought the roads were built so that there was no need to edit most markings during all this years. They are still the same. Very impressive.
The most accurate now and then video I’ve ever watched. A lot of love to detail. Every angle, every speed is perfectly matched. Even the trains and buses pass at the exact time. Well done ❤

It's impressive how Japan knows how to use space efficiently. In the video, almost no plot is wasted, and every square meter serves a useful purpose for society. I admire this country so much and strive for my country, Brazil, to be like this one day

There's barely any other country that has such good space use and plot land development other than Japan and rich Europe countries.

Thanks for uploading this very cool video! Greetings from America!
Here's what I learned from this video 1. Parking was taken away. 2. Many safety upgrades on the road were made. 3. Cars looked better in 1987 (actually, many people are importing old Japanese cars to the US)
@kamepo9 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment. I understand that due to the 25-year rule for right-hand drive cars, only older cars can be imported from Japan. Then, prices are increasing.
Crazy on how in just 35 years barely a single building is still left

It is interesting to see they stopped painting the perpendicular lines on the crosswalks. Probably a cost-saving measure to save paint.
@kamepo9 ай бұрын
You are right. The current crosswalk paint was changed as a result of research, showing that they are more visible to motor vehicle drivers, better rainwater drainage, and more economical as less painted area.

Still very beautiful. The best urban design of any country still.

Great video, the difference in time is apparent , I prefer 1987 really, I am planning on visiting Japan in the future, I would like to visit various car auctions and import a Subaru Sti to the UK. Thank you for a great video.

Great job with the timing. The only thing I would change is the synchronization of the new video (more FPS) with the old one, not the other way around. But still, well done.

If the video rate up converted to 120fps or higher and then processed, the judder should be reduced. But it's a pain in the butt because my PC has very low performance. lol

What I find most interesting about this video is how some of the same buildings were renovated and improved. Also that some of the building are empty now.
