You will not find the Kami Band in that video. It was those BabyBones _(fake musician)_ _I know it's a 6 months old comment_ _But since it is the first comment we see when we look at the comments_

Freddyul L think the point Autohmae was trying to make is that without the Kami Band they wouldn't have the worldwide success they have now as a lot of non Japanese rock fans didn't take them seriously with the Babybones and saw them as just another novelty group but thats just my opinion

RIP Mr. Fujioka. I miss you so much, You were definitely the best guitarist I know and Baby Metal couldn't have come this far without you. To foreign fans, Mr.Fujioka passed away in January 5th by falling from a high place during his astronomical observation. He was still 36 years young and left his wife and two little daughter. These guys are so good. They gave Babymetal the creds to be taken seriously in the metal world. No matter what you thought in the beginning with talent like that it was undeniable. Who ever put together Babymetal picked the right guys and right ladies to make something unique. As a metal head I had my doubts but they have matured into a hell of a band and class act performers.

@@cornteeth8614 Kami Band was always the name of the real backing band for Babymetal, there was a group of talented Japanese metal musicians, who were invited to replace the fake backing band (Babybones). Between 2012 and 2014 both bands still appeared, from 2014 Kami Band has become the only backing band for Babymetal. Mikio Fujioka was a leader type person among them, they had some metal projects together with these guys before Babymetal, they even had a project band called Kari Band and so. So until Mikio had passed away in the end of 2017 (he fell from an observation deck on Dec. 30). After that they kinda fell apart as a group, also because he was the soul and leader of this backing band, and he was the master of Takayoshi Ohmura. The Japanese backing band had some members, who mostly appeared in the shows between 2014 and 2018 as Mikio Fujioka (guitar), BOH (bass), Takayoshi Ohmura (solo guitar), Aoyama Hideki (drum) and sometimes Leda Cygnus (guitar) and ISAO (guitar). Kami band members were dressed in white robes and with white face paint, representing the Kami (Japanese spirits of Shinto belief). The new American guys who replaced the Japanese guys in the recent years are Anthony Barone (drum), Chris Kelly (lead guitarist), Cj Masciantonio (guitar), Clint Tustin (bass). They wear the mask, I am pretty sure, because the management had no idea, how long they will be part of the Babymetal, so they didn't want to reveal their faces to keep them more in the background until they don't get permanent place in the band if the Japanese guys won't come back. (my guess).

thanks to kobametal, many people are into the girls, but its all thanks to koba to hire very talented girls, and the kamiband musicians, and good compositor, and good choregraph, he united all the talents around this band....a lot of produced band just focus on performer and do comemrcial stuff, koba think it like "we need quality at every level", and we must give him credit for assemble the kamiband...usually in japan, idols hire masked musician for big live show, koba give them letter of nobless.

It is a cliche about talented musicians 'talking' with their instruments. But here you really see it. The barrier between thoughts and sound just dissolves. I wish I knew exactly what they are saying, but it's no overly important. Pretty sure though: aliens talk like this. They would hear it too. Even if they (like me) didn't get the words, the message is still there.
