Wow, even in 2018 people still do this stupid power scale debates about a series like Tenchi Muyo. Sometimes I go out of my way to give my two cents. But if Kami Tenchi is omnipotent, then why would he be able to seal himself into a mortal shell like Tenchi? Omnipotence is infinity, at all times. If you're omnipotent, then you don't have any kind of growing period, like they implied with Kami Tenchi bursting from Tenchi. He would always be at max infinite power. The chousin also claim to be omnipotent, but they were never close. You can't have someone stronger than omnipotence. They aren't something like Super Saiyan forms like Omnipotence 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 all the way to omnipotence over 9000. And, there's also the fact that if Tenchi would have to grow up into Kami Tenchi, then he's not omnipotent if he had to grow into that form. You can never reach omnipotence no matter how much you grow, as it would be an endless journey of raising your theoretical power level. You can't jump from limited to limitless. There's also the fact that he has feats, but they don't compare to the Chousin. While the idea of them creating infinite universes is more likely them constantly creating them over time, and infinite being a fancy word to describe the amount of experiments they did over time, it's still a better feat than... 1: Time travel. Trunks time travels with a machine. Is the machine omnipotent? Or omnipresent? Nope. 2: Stopped the counter actor. Just means he's stronger than the counter actor, since the counter actor and Chousin aren't omnipotent. And that means you're just only safe in saying he's above them. But omnipotence isn't safe to say. 3: They claimed he re-created the universe in many forums and places like the Wiki's, but IIRC, the Chousin did that, as they needed to reset time to before Z was born to give him a better life. 4: He created the Chousin... Yet they created him. They created everything. Not Kami Tenchi. He was born from their experiments that tampered with reality. You can maybe try to say that it was pre ordained that they would do that, like destiny, but then that probably means the universe itself is what did that, and then it's not KT who's omnipotent, and it's the universe itself running the show. In fact, most the Tenchi Muyo OVA's newer season constantly retcon each other, so it's likely to constantly be changing. And beyond the first two series, like the OG show most people remember from way back on Cartoon Network, everything in the writing is shit. The OG was pretty decent, until it went ham fisted and was literally just the authors own harem fantasy of trying to become god above the gods. Tenchi is just his own self insert.
