This ONLY benefits solo players or low level players ONLY with low level players. This would have been good in YEAR ONE or YEAR TWO. But in YEAR SIX, every group will have at least one player high level. This is force all low levels into the high bracket regardless. So why do this now? Year six we need this? Thoughts? 💭

I think that actually it is a fair change, because for new players it is not easy to enter the dark zone and face people who are far above your level and who are going to kill you very easily. Those who really won't like this change are those who love to bully inexperienced players, believing themselves to be good players and in reality they are not.

Yeah I actually don’t mind it. I agree that a low level player who dares it alone should have some other players Ike them around. If they get help and backup from ppl in their group- then they should be in a harder dz. If the brackets go the other way, then anyone over SHD 1000 is going to be super overpowered. The hardcore character is the only exception I would say, where the expertise transfers over.

I think the biggest thing that alot of long term players keep forgetting is that the devs are trying to make the current game more accessible to new players with the announcement of division 3. Hence all the changes to pvp. I personally don't understand why so many "legacy players" are so upset. What now you can't pick on new players who don't have enough shd lvls gear or builds to defend themselves? Forced to play against players of the same lvl and you might lose... again the biggest point so many keep missing is making the game more accessible to new players.

After finishing the vid I actually agree with the change. The ONLY thing high level players care about this for is they can’t punk light gear people and rob them blind. This was a good change. To take the other side of your argument, what you’re saying is it shouldn’t matter because everyone is your high level anyway right? You “help” low levels to destroy the server because you enjoy it. Otherwise it would be the way the old game was for example…the low level has to be careful because yes he gets way more xp but he can die that much easier.

My friends and I are sub 1000 by a long way. I can't wait to do daily projects in the DZ without getting trashed in seconds by players who just pick players out for sport. Fighting someone with at least a 25 % buff in every aspect gets old. I can't even explore the DZ because of it.

The real answer would be to just remove expertise/ shd bonuses from dz. But it is a nice change (added too late ofcourse). I was expecting to hear the brackets be every 100 levels. To be honest this just makes the lower brackets more peaceful though yes you may have to go solo if friends are not same level. And if you join a higher one its just going to be the same as it was. Getting deleted by high levels, though once again. Unless you somehow stumble into another group low level your going to know everyone is just stronger than you. But yeah i do wish the brackets were more frequent. As it reminds me of when i was a lvl 12 who encountered a lvl 32 rogue using (almost a full set of) max expertise gear. As i do get the feeling there may be some players around 470 that may stop leveling just so the can bully the newer players

In the DZ low level players are simply resource crates on legs for the higher levels this over time has made the buzz of the DZ stagnant for low level players. If a low level joins a high level group that is there choice they can always back out, yet being hammered by a group of high level with absolutely no chance whatsoever of surviving; just when they are extracting that bit of gear they have found and are buzzing about well that is having your fire p***d on. Ok still could happen but hopefully over a fair fight ! Its not perfect by far yet it gives a slightly better chance to low lvl players

I am gonna be honest here. I would have been more willing to enter the DZ to farm or stop Rogues if it was bracketed. Because nearly everyone that kills me and farms me when I am farming NPCs are those 1000 to 20000+ SHD agents that almost exclusively grief players in the DZ. Now... can people make "smurf" agents and still grief less experienced players? Yes. But at least we know it was intentional. I guess people will need to not be guided or power leveled in the DZ by high SHD players unless risking be temporarily placed into a much higher bracket. That should be fair to those that will attempt to use their low SHD agents/friend to grief or just out play due to skill from experience. Sorry but being "upgraded" verses "downgraded" in a bracket in a pvp area is much more rational and balanced. I only see high SHD players complaining about it than those sub 1000.

What I mean with that is, when a group of lets say SHD lvl 200-300ish get help from a 2k+ guy, and the game would take this 2k+ guy into the 40-500 bracket, would it be fair for the people playing in that bracketrange? Using HC is meaningless for this concept. The HC community for the most part doesn’t like it if people go around headhunting in the DZ and will regulate you in perpetuity if you screw around. It’s effectively just another PVE area, which makes the expertise issue kinda redundant. Conversely, people have been bitching about being farmed over and over by folks with a bajillion SHD level and so they addressed it. Great for newer players, won’t really matter to anyone who has been playing for ‘over six years’ because they are a gonna be in the 1000+ bracket. The real waste of effort here was this video.

I'm almost lvl 800 SHD level with level 11 Expertise. It sort of benefits me when going in solo without my friends. Got my pvp set incase I need to fight but I'm kinda already running out of reasons to be in the dark zone as ive already collected various dark zone exclusives. What I want now most of all is Eagle Bearer and its probably better to do raid for that at this point.

I think it's only the SHD watch that works in normal DZ and everything else is normalized, and invaded DZ is all out. Also, when you open your map in the DZ once you hit SHD 1001 you are matched with everyone else. DZ wasn't really empty for high shade levels for lower brackets maybe depending on how many low levels will be trying the DZ out.

Probably another consequence of removing World Tiers, cause that's the way it was in the LZ with WTs and the Group Level Scaling system - low lvl player can join a high lvl play in their high (then) WT so the high lvl can help the low lvl level up; didn't matter who was group leader, the whole group would adjust to the highest level player. The mechanic is still obviously attached (whether accidentally or on purpose remains to be seen) to the Dark Zones. IMO, in the case of the Dark Zones, that mechanic should be reversed - DZ bracket adjusts all group members to the lowest level player with the higher players' builds muzzled under a branch of Normalization. Sucks for higher lvls to be pushed down like that. But no matter which way you slice this - Group Level Scaling in the DZs going to be greatly unfair to one sect of players over another; a Catch 22 that can't be caught.

The biggest issue is that it's not account wide so a decked out player can juice up a lower alt and dominate newer players. That's a pretty huge oversight on the devs part. Grouping with higher players should pull you into a higher bracket so no issue there, granted it would probably be better if it averaged out your group so it's not one extreme or the other.

This is a great change, I suppose the veteran players of the DZ and the game will have to go and fight someone at the same level as they are, instead of targeting newer lower level players. Plus this change just goes to show why adding Expertise has totally ruined the game and should never have been added in the first place. But certain KZbinrs thought that adding the expertise system was a lot better than encouraging the Developers to add new content instead.

I actually don’t mind the change. I’m a solo player and to be fair I’ve only been playing the game for about a month and a half. I’m SHD level 230 btw. Only thing I worry about is empty dark zones due to lower player count because most players are 1000+. I like running DZ but I also like when a DZ has other players in it because it adds to the suspense of going in and grinding gear to extract without getting killed. Hopefully my DZ won’t be empty or it will make it very boring to grind.

Not really going to matter in the long term. Those new players who stay with the game will quickly get to shd level 1000+ moving their dz level brackets up within a week. Quicker if they join an established clan, then we’re talking a day or so. This is implemented for the new solo players for dz survivability so they can get a jump start on gear grinding for exotics and exclusives.

Wouldn't that be the same even if they didn't change it you as a low lvl before you had to face high lvls.So now with the brackets if a lower lvl joins a higher lvl then it's only right that the lvl go's up for the lower lvl person because they joined the higher lvls lobby.Its just like if your friend who only played hard but joins your lobby on challenging has to play at your lvl because it's your lobby just like it will be your dz unless if you join a lower lvls dz an it changes because of your higher lvl then yeah that would suck..

If you were above 1000, you're largely going to be playing the same caliber of players you already were. So essentially I could boost a new character to lvl 30, run Warlords or whatever to get to lvl 40, not activate or aquire the watch, grab a fully spec'd and maxed expertised build out of inventory and then hit the darkzone and destroy all of the hatchlings in the lower DZ Brackets.

Ok, I’d love to see how you can do this. The vid is really misleading because he used a HC character (which has a separate SHD progression and inventory from your softcore character.) if you level your HC to 40, you could get access to your expertise and the resources needed to slather ranks onto your gear, but you would not have gear worth putting it on for some time because you cannot access your previously earned stuff (well, a while back, you could kinda shift stuff between your softcore and hardcore character via a glitch in the buyback tab in the vendors, but that got patched a long time ago.) you could probably run a few countdowns, cobble together a decent build and add some expertise on it and think that this is your ticket to toxic glory, but I can say from experience, DZ in HC is a very different experience. Roguing up is a good way to bring a flood of really, really great players down upon you every time you ever set foot in the DZ again. And if you can hit expertise 20+ in softcore on a new account and at less than SHD 500 or 1000 - my hat is off to you. You’ve earned your little bit of extra damage the hard way.

So all this does is give high shade level players that are tired of getting owned in the DZ a work around to seal club new players. You know, people like the devs and employees of Ubisoft. The devs who pushed this definately aren't scumbags.

so you think the implementation is flawed not the idea? i like the idea the major gankers are all stuck with each other now - but i will still try to get my own empty DZ anyway, since pvp doesnt interest me. but since your guide on doing it, i can at least now go in DZ and earn resources and clear landmarks for fun, a concept the gankers tried very hard to make their own exclusive privilege by making us lower levels and non-pvp farmers not have any time to have fun. or, as it was for me until recently, just not bother with the DZ where in the first game i did a lot of DZ.

I think its good it gives a lower lvl player time to build up too the higher lvl dz's just like going from normal to heroic in the live world.Its not taking anything away from high lvl players now you'll only face higher lvl no new people who are just entering for the first time.

Makes no sence For me its good update even if I'm lvl 2700, also a friend with level 120 is agree with new update if he wants to join to me he has the risk of facing level 5k or 10k and is his desicion Farming alone or take the risk of PVP with me

There trying at least but I think they need to go 1000 to 2000 because my 1100 shd level doesn't have the expertise 5000 does. That matters a tone. But it' makes me better cause I'm facing g harder competition

Lmao😂 so you think if a low level player joins his high shd/expertise friends he shouldnt be bumped to the higher bracket?....as a returning player(new to PC) back on the grind this is a fine change as I have been forced to ignore the dark zone completely due to the power differences As a pvp focused player through all of a div 1 and years 1/2 of Division2 on ps5 I am now going to grind some darkzone Also I could care less if a new hardcore character has expertise advantage
