Thank you for the English subtitles, this sort of occupation from the post war period is interesting and worth documenting. I sympathize with the people living there but it seems like a bad place to have a house.

Thank you for your comment. After Japan's defeat in the war, people without money lived in places with poor living conditions, such as riverbeds, airports, and railroad areas. This village is one of the remnants of that.

Thank you for your comment. It is near the famous Kinkakuji temple in Kyoto. There is a village along the Tenjin River behind Bukkyo University.
