Just realized something. In story Caleb just found out that he may have the an opportunity for revenge. His mind must be twisted with memories, anger, sadness and yet he is able to push all of that to the side and concentrate on creating the tower to the Beau's specifications for a date. He can set aside his own emotions in order to make sure that his two friends have the best night possible. Caleb is a true friend.

I'll be honest, I enjoy the way these are cut together and they are like perfect sizable chunks for doing art, working on a motorcycle, or cleaning up the homestead, BUT I did kind of find the naming of that chapter to be odd. I found nothing about Yasha's sexuality being expressed in that moment. I don't remember what the potion was for either, so... Is there some joke, that I a proud trans lesbian, missed in that chapter which resulted in the naming of said chapter in that way? It reads a little odd is all. Is there some sort of joke about "gay people" getting ripped off, or something? Was that the joke? I've been ripped off before, but it wasn't because I was gay. Y'know, there really is just something about seeing Beau be sort of...unrestrainedly romantic that really hits me. She's the one who we've always seen be all "let's keep it casual, yeah no big deal, whatever" about her liaisons. But here she is really putting in all this thought and effort, really showing her growth in how much she's allowing EVERYONE to see how much she cares. Like...under that "fuckboy" "cool girl" persona there's a real romantic there! There's a real impulse for sincere and grand gestures! But she's probably always felt too embarrassed to show any of that. But now, the combination of the depth of her feelings for Yasha and also having the support of friends who make her feel like it's okay to show that part of herself has really freed her. I think what hit me about this whole date thing for me was that it just made me feel like *this is who Beau really is*--she's dorky and painfully earnest and LOVES thinking and planning and making something amazing with her friends for someone she loves full of all sorts of little details that she's noticed about them and their time together. And she doesn't feel like she' has to be "cool" or act like she doesn't care anymore, and I'm so proud of her for that? But even more than that, I just felt so happy and excited for her that she was able to do that because I could just see how happy and excited it *made her*. Beau wanted a big crazy romantic ridiculous date with Yasha because she FUCKING CARES and she's not afraid to act like it, and I could not be more thrilled for both of them.

I love Liam's acting in this episode. From kidding around and the interaction with Marisha over the Tower, to his interaction with Sam over Caleb's past...gorram, yet again, does Liam show he can act. Literally, all I wanted to do was give Caleb a hug, because I know what it's like, struggling with events of deep pain and acts of utter and complete betrayal. It fucking hurts. There is no pain quite like it. And seeing Caleb confront it over the conflict of feelings he has about Astrid was so cathartic to watch. I can only hope that at some point, should I ever decide to DM a game, I can have a group of players who care about the story as much as this cast of people. Truly wonderful they are.

My thought too, but she still has the actual flower that Beau gave her. Plus - and I'm going to do some mental gymnastics here - obviously some things created by the spell can leave the tower. Specifically, when they eat food created by the tower, it's real food. Otherwise, as soon as they leave the tower, they would immediately be hungry when the food in their stomachs disappears. So it's possible Matt would handwave her taking one petal as ok. Alternatively, Caleb has a spell that lets him create various items, so I'm sure if she checks her book and finds it missing, she could ask him to craft one to replace it.
