IM very tempted to buy one of these fab little campers. Myself and hubby have three dogs and this looks ideal for us all especially with the extended awning :) are there any things we need to watch out for' with these models. I saw one about 3 years ago and fell in love but its only now im able to think about purchasing one :D Thanks and would love feedback !

Hi'a,, Apart from the normal wear and tear, and water heating, space heating, cooker , & fridge working all OK on the camper side of things, I say go for it,, On the Base vehicle, Mine is a Peugeot Boxer 270,, 1996 -2002, which can have gearbox problems, some time stiff going into gears, Test drive when the vehicle is cold, The Peugeot Boxer 290,, 2002 -2007 has a better gearbox, hope this helps,,

Thanks so much :) Its hard... the guys at the camper shops keep telling us to buy new/newish or they are 'always in and out' of the repair shop and i disagree ! I think get a good solid motor and the rest can be done yourself as my partners very handy and also good with cars. £40,000 plus for a new model is ridicuous :/ I really love the valentine and this vista :)

If you buy new/newish you lose money the moment it's yours,, There are loads of really good motorhomes on the market that hold their value for many years,, ours is one of them, I paid £18k with 19250 miles on the clock and was 14 years old when she came to us, She has yesterday had a full service and MOT, cost was £250, That is the only running cost I have had in the last 12 months,, Don't know about in&out of the work shop,, The valentine is OK , but better work top in the Vista,, When you go to look in them, Pretend you are on site and cook a pretend meal, or make a cup of tea or coffee, see where you will store your pots & pans, See how you will sit on an evening, See where you will put your drink down when watching TV,, and most of all see how easy the bed is to make up, and how easy is it to go to the loo in the middle of the night,, Good Luck with your search, Hope you find a nice one,, WE DID,, Jan&bob
