Deciding where to go to college in #2020 is such a nerve wracking, but rewarding, experience! Aside from the pandemic, there are so many things to consider as you’re looking into different schools, while also balancing high school classes, college applications, deadlines, ACT/SAT testing - it gets pretty crazy!
I was accepted to Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, BYU, Utah, and Pepperdine. Baylor was a huge draw for me, because my sisters @BrooklynAndBailey both go there and it is a beautiful campus with fun traditions and great programs. Because of the twins, I’ve been able to live so many of Baylor’s school traditions through them, and I really want to have a new experience that is entirely my own. I had SO many amazing schools on my accepted list, including Baylor, which was #1 on my list until this week. University of Utah was actually #2 and Texas A&M was #3. Choosing between so many awesome colleges was very difficult!

After weighing my options for the past few social distancing months, I’ve decided that I will be attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah!
Yes, I am shocked, too! BYU wasn’t even in my Top 3 schools through the whole process, jumping from #6 to #1 in just the last few days. Personal fit, program success, family and friends who went there, and prayer are what ultimately tipped the scale and confirmed my final surprise decision, and I am just about as shocked as y’all are!
My parents and 3 of my grandparents are BYU graduates, and the university has a great neuroscience undergraduate program. Not only does so much of our extended family live in Utah, but I also have dozens of friends currently enrolled at BYU and UVU. I’m absolutely obsessed with the Utah mountains (Jeep, Jeep!) and I’ve always loved being outdoors, hiking, exploring, and LOVE the snow! I’ve always wanted to learn how to snowboard, and we also used to live in Utah. Every time we go back to visit, I don’t really want to leave!
I’m SO relieved that I finally made my decision, and I can’t wait to get to BYU in the Fall! 😍

Well I don't think that's exactly it. In order to say she IS going somewhere, she had to apply. Which I know I had help from my mom applying everywhere. So if someplace was too expensive, too far away, etc. She expressed her opinion. I think at the point of this video. Every option for college was probably approved by her parents. Not from USA here, but the college names sound so funny. Baylor sounds like a couple name - Bailey + Taylor. Pepperdine sounds like a chain restaurant. Also here in NZ we don't take college choices like it's as big as a deal. Maybe cause there aren't that many major factors and there are only like 4 choices in the whole country

I'm really, really happy for Kamri! If you have the chance to go out-of-state for college, I almost always suggest taking it. I went out-of-state for school (Illinois to Florida) and it was the best decision I ever made. I got to totally reinvent myself because I didn't know anyone (no one from high school), I became so independent because I was far away from family, and I really learned so much about myself. I went to school in Florida, accepted a job in Dallas after graduated, and have now been living in Seattle, Washington for almost 2 years. I have been able to experience living in so many different places, try new cities and environments, and I don't think I would have been as confident living in new states if I didn't go to college out-of-state. It made it seem easier because I had done it before already. My sister-in-law lives in Utah right now and LOVES it. Congrats, you'll do great things there!

I feel like because the twins are so famous and already attending the school she won’t be about to become her own person and will kinda be stuck as just the twins little sister.
