You've maybe already been asked this, but can you do the same kind of video(s) about your opening repertoire with Black and how it helped you climb the rating ladder?
@DarkHorse2305
@DarkHorse2305 Жыл бұрын
Yes, please share the repertoire as black. Mostly I have seen London players opt for semi-slav, Caro kann and reverse London. Pawn structure wise it makes the most sense I guess.

At my lowly level of 900 rapid I have also adopted the London as my main opening with white. It’s the only one where I have actually studied the alternative lines and would like to Master it before taking up other openings. But I have also spent time studying gambits …..Evans is a good one …..at my level they can bring you some success! Chess is a very difficult game to be consistently successful at!

I used the London system at the beginner level before switching over to e4 openings. Personally I prefer challenging the opponent early on at the intermediate level which is why I like playing e4 although there ways for London players to play differently. London is just my cup of tea.

Great tutorial thanks,I’ve done the same as you playing the London opening only for the last 5 days now and I’m getting more familiar with the lines which seem easier than other openings. Also for black against the white king opening I’m using the French defence. Hopefully I have as much success as you have had 🏁🇬🇧well done on reaching 2000 I’m at 950 playing 30 min rapid 👍😁

I spam this opening a ton in my games online. If you saw my bullet games in lichess, you will see the london setup in the majority of the games as white against different openings by Black.

Hi Kamryn, I would like to see more of your London games. I've started using this opening an I like it. I'm 67 married and live in Indiana. I would like to see more of your games to see when you could not use the standard London opening with white. I have subscribed to your channel on KZbin.

I'm a beginner, looking to use the London System to reach 800. I find your videos to be a refreshing perspective on chess, more approachable for players just starting out. Anyways, on my level, I often encounter players who attack White right of the gate, disrupting my attempt at an orderly development. I would appreciate some help for when Black pushes hard with their Knights, such as the Fried Liver attack. Another annoyance is the early Bf5. Your second game provided one solution but are there other ones that don't require an exchange of Queens? Thanks for the thought and work you are putting into your videos!

Hanging around 700, hopefully soon breaking into 800, I am super bad with white. I might have commented already, but the London seems to be a nice way to break away from e4 e5 and maybe win a few more games that way.

@@rafaelayala955 no schedule, I was just playing to play. I think people focus too much on seeing an elo difference that they forget improving at the game is more important. Focus on improving one thing a day and you will prosper. If I wanted to focus on 2k only, could have probably gotten there in 6 months instead of 11. I spent a lot of time slacking, not improving in chess.

I personally don't like when people play London against me. It's too boring I myself play really aggressive and tactical openings, I don't hesitate to sacrifice pawns and pieces if I see a nice tactic. Sometimes if I see a tactic which doesn't win anything but is just a tactic, I'll go for it. Like once my opponent hung his queen in one move, but I saw a royal fork, so I had to play it instead.

IMO the London sucks....but I guess I can't say that bc I'm a past NM, and these are rather beginner-intermediate players huh? I prefer Irregular openings like a3, b4, c3, c4, d3, f4, g3, h3, or Nc3. The issue is that I have extensive knowledge of almost every opening, including the ones I hate involving e4 d4 moves. Most players should stick to e4 or d4 until they have the comfort of playing these other openings.
ChatGPT is terrifying. This is why.
