Kanade is playing jazz-fusion pianist Chick Corea's tune. She was a fan of Corea and paid her respects to him when he died. She met him in 2013 at the Tokyo Jazz Festival. The new band Muses is a project of guitarist Rie aka Suzaku. It seems basically to be the unit that has regularly played at Club Blue Mood. The lineup at Blue Mood has sometimes varied: Rina Hoshino (who auditioned for Lovebites) has often been the bassist at Blue Mood, but Juna Serita will be on bass for Muses. There are many many women musicians in jazz and jazz-fusion in Japan.

Nice reaction Mr B Kanade Sato announced recently that she's involved in a new fusion band called Muses which also includes guitarist Rie a.k.a. Suzaku, keyboardist Marie Fukai, bassist Juna Serita. Muses self-titled album will be only instrumental and will be released on October 19th. Thank you

Hi Brandon! It's hard to imagine a 6 year old having the discipline and skills to play something as complex as "Spain". I've been following Kanade since she was 11. She has always demonstrated her determination to be the best that she can. I can't wait for Muses to be released!

Until I discovered Lovebites Kanade was by far my favorite drummer. Started following her when she was 10. Now she is still my favorite but Haruna has become my solid second. I have a human atomic time clock (Kanade) and also a pocket size nuclear reactor (Haruna) I feel complete. Owe both Reg Dewitt and Sven Lima for Kanade. Thanks.
