I stopped playing honkai in 2021 after playing since the SEA release. Then I suddenly got recommended Thus Spoke Apocalyplse last week. Now I'm back. Otto has always been my favorite character ever since reading Elan Platinus. (Well... next to Fu Hua at least).

It makes sense how cruel and unfair Honkai Impact 3rd's world is, since it's meant to be a varied version of our real world, to the point locations in that world also exists in ours. Still... that fact doesn't eliminate the pain and suffering we feel to characters in this game, our of our compassion for them.... Infact, that truth just makes it hurt more, as it feels real to those of us kind and compassionate hearts... Even Otto, a clear big villain of the game's main story, you can't help but feel sad for him. He got what he wanted in the end... but he never was graced the happiness to spend time by the side of the girl he loved so much that he spent 500 or more years trying to find an answer to bring her back...

Changes are hard to accept and when done poorly, I could never accept these changes. They should go back to the way it was

This is what it looks like while watching Honkai concert... You are holding a light stick while crying at the same time you are smiling with mood swings like a broken person. Yep. 😂 Honestly I didn't expect that they will rank up the quality of the concert compared to the first one which is also a good one. They just flexing this time that they could make stages and visuals like a work of art and everything on this concert is just sooooo epic. 😍 Btw some Captains and maybe most of you guys hates Otto but for me he is the best character of the game, he is well written character with complexity and I love those characters even though they are villain and his VA is so perfect for giving life to this awesome character, remember we can't have Kiana and TeriTeri without Otto. I know it is impossible for Otto to live even on other universe because as far as I know direct contact with Imaginary Tree is a bad idea but I'm still hoping there is an Otto out there that spending time with Kallen.

Unrelated to this clip (amazing btw), anyone who denies the paralel of Kallen and Otto's meeting to Kiana and Mei, is blind. Yes a paralel doesn't mean a retread of how things end but while Kiana literally saved Mei's life in a split second decision Kallen "saved" Otto in way of giving him a true friend and confidence to break out of his shell.

Tbf most of Honkai's English OST has very weird & unsettling syntax in their lyrics (especially if you're used to listening western songs). Grammar is out of place, the pacing of phrases don't match up with melodic pauses, the use of uncommon words, etc.... it feels like these songs were primarily written in Chinese, then translated to English, and then added / removed / changed some words here and there to fit the melody. This is why, as an English speaker, it's difficult for me to appreciate these as standalone songs. I'd rather listen to them while watching their animated shorts. This is why Regression is my favorite. Imo, it is the most well-written English song in the entire Honk OST so far. Not only it resonates perfectly with Otto's tragic story, but also the lyrics have sensible structure, grammar is ok, and the lyrical phrases match well with the melody.

To those who grieve not understanding OTTO's passing What is a "good guy"? What is a "bad guy"? For me, OTTO is the existence of both. In terms of behavior and results alone, OTTO is a very selfish person. The "bad guy" part should be clear to everyone, so I won't explain it here. But the "good guy" part, almost exclusively for "KARIN" (although "KARIN" doesn't want OTTO to do that) In order to save "KARIN", OTTO did all kinds of bad things, many people lost their lives because of his actions. Undoubtedly, the various crimes he committed will not disappear in order to save one person. But at the same time, OTTO is doing everything for good people like "KARIN". He spent 500 years, just to save "KARIN". Yes, this "KARIN" who is a "great benefactor" to many. so, If we can abhor all evil beings. Why can't we feel sorry for the tragedy caused by a good deed?

I hear ya, I can understand since it was a big reveal that he didn't want to bring Kallen back for himself alone, but more that he came to the epiphany that the world would have been better with her instead of him, and his long walk to the imaginary tree helped show that he did, indeed, regret all of the bodies he trampled over on the path, but wouldn't dare leave a job half-done before facing his deserved fate. I've come to respect his choice even though I think it's the wrong one. TL;DR: We respect the conviction and that he did learn from his mistakes, but ultimately agree that bringing back the past isn't how we should build the future, and chapters 29-31 really bring that point home.
