Thank you for this video tutorial. I started on this last year, but set it aside. I think I must've gotten stumped, but now I see how it is done. I can see it would be easy to make it larger or smaller too, so I might even make some for my granddaughters.

I love this pattern. I’m currently working on it now. I’m even toying with the idea of making it with long sleeves, and perhaps not sewing up the front seam and turning it into a cardigan. It’s such a stunning drape. I’ve made one granny square already and I can visualise how nice it is going to look, I’m using sparkly DK yarn, so it’s going to be a fun party top (or cardigan). Would love to see you do more videos. Your patterns are very well thought out.

I'm glad you're loving the pattern! If you convert the pattern to a long sleeved top or a cardi, I hope you'll post a pic on the projects page of the pattern on Ravelry: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kanata-kerchief-tank I'd love to see it! I do plan on creating some more videos soon; some for existing patterns, some for new patterns that I plan on releasing this summer. Happy crocheting!

Hi. Thanks for downloading my pattern. Unfortunately, at this time I’m unable to create a video for assembly - I’m a full-time student and sadly haven’t been able to pick up a crochet hook in months. There are, however, other vids on KZbin for patterns with similar construction that highlight the assembly process. My apologies and I hope to be able to create another video soon.

Hi, I’m loving the look of this pattern, however I do have a question. The pattern says use a DK yarn with a 6mm hook, but the DK yarn I have suggests a 4mm hook. I’ve tried with the 6mm and it seems really loose, but is that the way it should be for this pattern? Many thanks for your tutorial, it’s really helped.

@froggyfrogger48362 жыл бұрын
I really hope somebody can answer this question for me! It's about the amount of yarn the pattern calls for. Is the amount of yarn the pattern calls for, for each square panel???? Or is it for the whole thing????

I might make it. Thanks

Help! I've tried this several times using 3 different yarns. I'm good until I get to the repeat of row 3. My square is all wavy. Is its suppose to be like that or is it suppose to lie flat? Thanks
@rightbraincrochet85436 жыл бұрын
Hi Katherine. Sorry you've run into difficulty. The square *should* lie flat as you crochet. It's possible that your gauge might be inconsistent, making it wavy, or that you're accidentally adding extra stitches. If it's only a little wavy, blocking the squares before assembly can make a huge difference. (I'd recommend a wet block for cotton or linen fibers and steam blocking for acrylics) I hope this helps!
@annwithaplan97666 жыл бұрын
Katherine - Did you get it figured out? I made some mistakes before figuring out what I did wrong and then I was ok after that. I also figured out how many each row and side should have and that keeps me on the right track. If you need help, just send me a pm.

Hi Right Brain! Thanks for this beautiful pattern! I am new to crochet, but have already made one boho 'one size fits all' sweater that went really well. I would like this to be my next project, but am struggling with row 2. The last project I did was a basic granny square that I did really big...is this pattern sort of similar? With the idea that you're making a bunch of granny squares? You refer to the "shells" a lot here, and I'm wondering if this is a type of granny square that you've created, or that is common so I could find other guides to helping me get the basics down. Thanks so much!
@saltycrow5 жыл бұрын
She is referring to the corner as a "shell". It is common in all granny squares. The number of stitches may vary by pattern, but always the same basic technique.

I too need help with the assembly. I have 16” squares and when I assemble them the drape is very short not long like yours? What have I done wrong?
@nycbklynrmp6 жыл бұрын
did you measure from collar bone to where you want it go , eg hip, past hip , above kneee etc, for the DIAGONAL where the part that drapes. your measurement would be diagonal the LENGTH, and width will be double of the diagonal so 24inch length will be 50 inch

Yes. I have seen versions of this from many people using different squares. The trick I think is using yarn and stitching that will give a nice drape effect.

I really like this pattern and video but damn girl slow down. I had to stop and rewind this sooo many times because she's just flying through it and some of the spaces I can't really see because her hand and the way she's holding it gets in the way. If she would have just shown down a little bit this would have been soo much better and easier to follow. Look up tl yarn crafts now thats a great crochet teacher.

Under the video there is a little flower shape, its the settings tab. Click on it and there is an option called 'playback speed' . Click on that and you can slow the video down to a speed that suits you. Works on ALL youtube videos x
