I enjoyed this Thom, thank you! I don’t do much rail-fanning so I enjoy other people’s experience and little history lessons. Thank you for sharing.

Well, Pat, I didn’t get much modeling done this week, but it was good to be outside watching trains. I don’t do it much either, really only when I travel. Back home tomorrow so it will be back in the train room for a bit. Stay safe!

Thanks, Rich. I enjoy the research, at least until I found out in the next video that I was in a toxic waste dump! Stay safe!

Very nice synopsis on one of those roads you hear about when it starts but then it assumes a forgotten status. I live near the WATCO Wisconsin & Southern and a month ago WATCO took over 400 miles of former Canadian National track. It's the FOXY Fox Valley & Western on 7 disjointed sections presently using WSOR and Helm Leasing power. I just love the old warehouse areas and the fabled mystery spurs and combined with your maps a very worthwhile presentation. Thanks!

Thanks, Paul. I really enjoy those old brick warehouses, too. Stay safe and I appreciate your comments!

Thom I really enjoyed this post. Really interesting and I've had no problem hearing you. Once it was a little muffled. Thanks very much for going to all the trouble you're going to for these posts. Take care and be safe.

It’s fun, John. If it ever starts NOT being fun, you won’t see me anymore! I’m home now, easy and safe drive. Stay safe yourself!

You did a great job….heard everything….really enjoyed the history lesson of the railroad and shots of how things have changed….and current RR operations

There was a video of a bridge that I decided not to add. The car noise was just too great. I may go back and shoot that this evening anyway, as I didn’t get both sides of it and there’s some other interesting stuff nearby. Thanks!

Nice locomotives. The railroad yard would make a great model scene. I especially liked what appeared to be the yard office. Be careful in your travels and thanks for posting up a not commonly known railroad.

I do like their paint scheme. The mountains in the background behind the yard would look great on a backdrop, for sure. I think the office you are referring to is for the mechanical force, the yard office is close to the coal facility and I didn’t enter railroad property to see it. It is a cool little building with the stuff around it. Glad you enjoyed it, this is better than sitting in the hotel. Stay safe!

This is great content! I'm not really interested in that area in specific but I really enjoyed seeing both the past railroading sites and the new action. I certainly don't think there is any need for you to apologize. If we were rail fanning that site we would have to deal with car noise and etc. The advantage here is you did all the traveling and I could sit at my desk and watch! Thanks Thom.

Thanks, Rick. There was 1 video that I decided not to add due to the audio. I may go back to shoot that this evening. It’s an abandoned bridge in Charleston. Sort of depends on the weather. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it. This is much more entertaining for me than sitting in the hotel, even if I do have have some models to work on. Stay safe!

Thanks for subscribing. I actually live in central KY and only in that area a couple of times a year. Most of my videos are of model trains, but I railfan when I travel. I’ll check out some of your videos. Stay safe!

Audio was fine all the way through. That station that was moved is interesting. I have seen wooden ones that were moved but not concrete block like that. I also noticed I did not see a chimney on the building. Stay safe.

I never noticed the lack of a chimney. You firefighters would, though! 😂 Glad you enjoyed it, Maurice! Stay safe!

No need to apologise I like your format and style. Would like to see more on Dickinson yard as that’s the family name
@thomplacier6773 жыл бұрын
That yard would be a good place to have a drone. That bridge is nice, but the side with the yard is on the side without much of a walkway and it’s pretty busy. Glad you enjoyed the video. Stay safe!
