Kanayama Takayuki Sensei, Thank you for uploading this Video! It is a great demonstration. As a simple practicioner of shotokan I'm fascinated by Jodo. It is difficult to find good literature about this part of budo discipline. May I have your contact details in Tokyo too?

@@KanayamaTakayuki I took my first Jodo lesson today and it was awesome! I enjoyed it a a lot. But it requires a high level of concentration indeed.

Impressive! ...Thank you for your generous sharing! I really think some of us can follow you instruction and learn the KATA form if we make it very seriously....especially those with the similar background....! !.....Besides, just wondering that the material(such as 赤樫,白樫,スヌケ,椿 ...etc) and thickness(分)to be recommended by you....or which is tailor-made?! : ) Thanks Kanayama Sensei!

Thank you! The cane is made of ready-made white oak. There are times when we strike each other violently, and the staff may crack, but we must not be shy about breaking the sword and the staff. However, it is important to treat your sword and staff with care. Keep up the good work!

@@KanayamaTakayuki Sensei! Thanks for your prompt reply! My original Jo has been broken for a long while :)....now I'm using a DIY jo staff. I took it from a Chinese spear(Ash wood). Which is lighter and softer than oak....! Today I just order both of your DVD series from amazon jp..Can't wait to watch your teaching and demonstration soon. btw...I really like the background music of this video clip....may I have the name of it! Finally as told, the "oil treatment" has been given for my Jo and Bokken bi-weekly. .: )

This is Kashima Shin ryu as taught by Akeshi Sueyoshi Sensei and Kono Yoshinori Sensei. I'm a student of the first Sensei since 1998

It has a connection. This is a technique of Syoseikan, not Kashima Shinryu, and there are some that I devised myself.

1:44 unico momento donde no lo veo totalmente concentrado, pero cuando se concentra da miedo!!!! admirable verlo tan concentrado
@KanayamaTakayuki4 жыл бұрын
Muchas gracias.

Me gusta ver tus videos

息を呑みます。Breath takingともいうべきか、なんで外国からの反応が殆どなんでしょう、今の日本人って情けない。人って、ほんと顔で、表情でその人となり人格人柄を判断すべきですね。 As the President Lyncorn said, there is no mistake that you judge a man by his face and the face appearance. People, please look at the appearance of Kanayama sensei. I am impressed by his face so much. Wonderful.
