Finally, the shurikens Audrey mentioned two weeks ago :) People, you are presented with a unique opportunity to see a ninja throwing them while wearing a soccer jersey: Samuel, el ninja argentino (necesita mas ejercicio, obviamente, pero tiene el deseo de aprender y eso es lo que cuenta) :)

Kanazawa's teahouses are so serene, you'll feel guilty for accidentally slurping your matcha lol. Kidding aside, this exactly why Japan is definitely on the top of our list! It felt so nostalgic and I suddenly remembered the time when we filmed one of our TV show episode there.

Kanazawa is a sleeper city, that is not visited much by Westerners. We visited during cherry blossoms and we had wonderful time. We ate in that Saizeriya, last March 2023. It was pretty decent. It is right by the train station. We ate in 2nd Saizeriya by Universal Studios and it was not nearly as good as the Kanazawa location.

5:30, sorry, dim sum is specifically Cantonese, not Mandarin. Mandarin is a language. The traditional language spoke in The Republic of China (Taiwan). Mandarin in Chinese is “國語, national language”. The CCP changed that what they called “normal language, 普通話”. Now I understand some 10 years ago the Japanese sushi chiefs wanted to set standards for what real sushi is as too many places outside of Japan just cut up uncooked fish and put rice on it and call it “sushi”. Some of us fight like hell to keep things not being mis-led.

Such an awesome travel and food guide to Kanazawa. This one reminded me more of a Mark Weins video than anything else. Very awesome!! We went to Sofia this past Friday for a little shopping trip and had lunch at The Sushi Bar (actual name). Most of the time I forget to film or even take pictures of what we eat, but The Sushi Bar was an amazing meal. Thank you guys for giving this wonderful tour.

Hi Audrey & Sam, thanks for your video. We will land in Nagoya. Option 1 - should we stay in Takayama first before we go to Kanazawa, back to Nagoya, then Tokyo? or Option 2 - should we go to Kanazawa first, then Takayama, back to Nagoya, then Tokyo? Which is the best way? FYI we plan to visit Shirakawa when we are in Takayama (our based for 2-3 nights). Thanks
@samuelandaudrey9 ай бұрын
I think either way is fine. I would maybe look at the calendar and try to see if you can avoid Shirakawa-go on a weekend, because it'll be a lot busier than visiting mid-week. Then plan your schedule accordingly.

How are you communicating with the people in Japan? I understand that most do not speak English. Are you using a translation app?
@samuelandaudrey9 ай бұрын
It was mainly a lot of pointing and charades. Most restaurant menus had pictures, so even if the menu wasn't in English, we could order. For visiting attractions, the price of admission was usually posted, so we knew what to pay even if we couldn't communicate.
