There is a trick to remember which is a stalactite and which is a stalagmite. The key is in the Mite or Tite, Mite starts with M and if you look at the M, it looks like two stalagmites side by side and if you look at the T, it can look like a single stalactite hanging from the roof.

Another very enjoyable video Trev. And a very impressive temple. It's funny my Thai GF is from Kanchanburi and we've driven past there 3-4 times now, mainly to drive along the river and to go to the Tiger Cave temple. But I never realised that this temple is there. Next time!

Hey Trev, Stalactites have a 'T' for TOP, and Stalagmites have a 'G' for GROUND. So 'grow from top is Stalactites and grow from Ground is Stalagmites. Or just remember STALAGMITES 'G' ground

Thai men that are Buddhist are required to spend time as a monk. They can choose how long, it can be as short as a day or as long as a lifetime. Most choose six months to a year. For women being a novice is entirely optional.
