i recently made a star cuff for the first time and i really like the way it turned out! this was my first non-single kandi so im really happy it didnt fall apart or anything lol. i made a few mistakes but i fixed them, or improvised if it was too late to fix! (it turned out looking pretty cool though soooo) i wanted to make it because one of my favorite characters has a bracelet with huge beads and i had the idea to make a star cuff inspired by that bracelet!

i also tried making a star one but it was too confusing so i made a rotator single that i didn’t have the string to make the other bumper for, and then i took the single, got the letters, and made a single that could fit me but eventually destroyed the cuff base and another 3d cuff for string to make a x base cuff that i didn’t know where to end, (i made it in all black and it was hard to see where to end it 😭) and ended up destroying that for string to make the rui cuff but it was too tight in one section so i just gave up

You don’t have to sew to make Kandi, it just makes it easier, and the knot that works best is just the knot you use to tie your shoes (minus the bow) and you do that like 10 times just to be safe

Tips from an experienced-ish kandi maker ❤ Get glue (preferably super glue or gel glue) to put on the knows of ur finished bracelets to make them less likely to break!! You can get plastic needles online or in craft stores for more complex kandi :3 Different types of string work better with different projects!1!1 (singles usually work better with stretchy but things like ladder stitches sometimes work better w/ stiffer string) Ik I’m 3 months late and ur prolly really good now but hopefully I helped a little PLUR ❤

I wanna start kandi (despite the fact I take millions of years to finish a clay bead bracelet) I only make singles, because they are quick and easy, but I don't have the best type of string to make any cuffs or anything like that, and the beads i own aren't sets of many colors, and don't even have the color black.. I’m a beginner at Kandi too!! I started off with buying some at hobby lobby but you can get Kandi anywhere like any craft store is your best bet and for string I use regular string but you can also use elastic string or fishing line!! I recommend starting off with somthing easy like I did a cat single that looks like Garfield!! And if you want somthing easy that’s a bit of a challenge I did a latter cuff!! They look hard but are super duper easy!! I hope this helps
