I feel like RCA is HORRIBLE! Everybody there has an experience similar to Normani’s, unless they’re a mega superstar, and their star power automatically sells albums. In 2012, when Brandy put out Two Eleven, they botched everything. Brandy was 33 at the time. Yes, I understand that that’s old for a black R&B female artist, but it was young enough, if everything was done correctly. I also understand that Brandy hadn’t had a successful album or single in while. I know she wouldn’t have been able to do pop star numbers, but she should have at least been able to have a successful album, with a Grammy nomination, or something. Two Eleven sounded like Brandy’s version of everything that was hot on the radio, at the time. She had to collab with Chris Brown, she worked with the producers that everyone else was working with, she had risqué songs, uptempo songs, at that time, her hair, wardrobe, and everything was on point, and she had improved her stage performances. My point is, all of this should have been enough not to flop, but it wasn’t. Brandy fought for certain singles to be released that they refused to release. Brandy and the fans agreed on what needed to happen, but the label wouldn’t listen. Then, when the single they spent the money on, flopped, they blamed it on her, wouldn’t give her any more money to release any more singles, called her a “washed up has been”, and made it difficult for her to leave the label. Idc what anyone says, that album was just as good as every R&B album that was released that year.

Normani could've really done it, if 1. The music was good enough on its own to the point where the visuals didn't become necessary to further the song. 2. If she stayed in tune with her fans and was clear on release dates. The reason why I feel like a lot of people didn't tune in is because when she posted her album cover photo with the date just spinning around, people got irritated because she was teasing us on the official date. Like Normani is a visual girl so she should've put everything out.Once she put visuals out I know them songs are gonna go up

Everyone's body responds differently to medication. People eat differently, I know someone who puts grape jelly in there pinto beans. I was shocked.

Me skipping the part of you talking about Normani 🙂↔️🙂↔️🙂↔️ sorry I WILL windmill about my girl not today

RnB records haven't sold well since the 90s. Normami's record album sells were actually good. It exceeded the overall expectations of an RnB album. She knows she would have made more with POP as that is the majority of her fanbase. But she is looking for other groups as well and this did it. Maybe her next album will be pop.

I think when.it comes to black female artist Beyonce don't want competition. I think Normani was that girl and i could see her and Beyonce competing however they put Normani on the Shelf....

Normani music is just average. moitvation was a check on it knockoff that ariana passed. Wildside was a heavily insoired aaliyah track that shouldve just been an album track, the album overall is good but there is nothing oersonal on the album. This album does give texas young singer vibes who sexually active and whats to talk her ish. Sounds like early 2000s rnb with heavy aaliyah and brandy influences.

It's inauthentic and people can see that. I don't think her heart is in music. It's not her passion anymore clearly
@mimia.48103 күн бұрын
@@SE-gs6gdYou nailed it! Normani seems to lack a passion for music and the lack of passion/energy is felt in the music. The lyrics lack depth or insight, the music is generic, and even her voice seems lifeless/monotone. I think dancing and performing is more of her passion. It’s like she just wants to be famous and isn’t an actual musician. It’s hard to get into her music because of this.
