I am 100% biased here, but I will always remember S3. Mainly because that was the only season I spent almost my entire season in ranked. Desperately going for Pred. My buddy and I both got to Pred at the end of the same game, and that was 15 minutes before the season ended. That was a huge moment. It was a nightmare to get for someone as bad as us at the game, and having to play against Hal, AverageAden, Shiv etc etc. It was just my best moment in Apex, and since it happened in S3, S3 becomes my favorite.

@@zachdude4284 Yes, it was that season. Luckily I think Respawn removed all of those "Preds." And next season you had the Crypto bug where he could just fly his drone around and get infinite amounts of assist KP by simply watching other teams fight.

Honestly solos have weirdly been a godsend (not in every match obviously) because most sweats just switched to solos and left trio pubs. Solos to me is fine for a quick match (because unless you're a sweat yourself, you won't last much) and then trios for longer matches.

Seasons 3,4,5,7 and 10 was truly peak apex for me those were the moments where the player count was really high and the game was still very enjoyable with peak contents especially the grand soiree sad how the game declined overtime now

Damn, I didn't even remember Fight Night wasn't on Olympus originally and had to look up what that area looked like before 'cause I'd completely forgotten it! As for S21: It has confirmed how much I really don't like Solos, Alter is very fun with new movement and flanking opportunities everywhere, and new Broken Moon is disorienting so far so the jury is still out on that, but it's probably better than the old "choke point" variant. With the tuning of the upgrade system (removing many of the "boring" choices nobody would pick anyway, it's a pretty good season so far.

I am so biased on Arenas because I played it so much and it helped me learn better movement mechanics, aim, and overall just helped me improve my gameplay. I do agree that other game modes are fun but I wish they would put Arenas back as an LTM or permanent mix tape mode. I do understand it was not the game mode for everyone but it was so fun when I didn't feel like playing sweats in BR.

personally i think something to consider especially for the newer seasons, is that i agree content wise they have been dry with only a new gun or legend. However i think in the long run apex is learning and protecting itself from the overcomplication games like r6 siege feel, where there are so many characters in the game it almost becomes confusing. every new weapon added is another one you have to worry about balancing. For a content creator its definitely a bit more sad but i can appreciate the apex devs not wanting to die the way games like r6 did

Tbh I didnt mind Arenas. As a beginner to Apex i found Arena was a good place where i learned the game. I tried BR, but it was quite overwhelming since other players would have far more exp than me. Arena was somewhat skill based and thats one of the reasons i still played Apex. The new mixtape isnt bad but i would like for then to add Arenas again

Day 1 here and my absolute favorite was Season 12. Characters such as Ash, Seer and Valkyrie brought a competitive edge like I never seen before. Stopped in 15, Horizon definitely became a staple fast but this is when the shift came for me, it seemed so lackluster compared to previous engagements. Loved the Arenas mode, TDM and a S&D mode? Didn’t play Mixtape or the new ones. So I don’t know if FOMO or JOMO.

yes i am definitely biased to an extent, but theres no seasons like the first 3-4 seasons. after playing seasons 19-21, my love for the game is still here. but its harder to be a casual player now, and i feel like the seasons in general have been “quiet” season 21 has picked up a bit. im enjoying it so far with the maps, gameplay, and solos. hopefully we experience the same over the next few seasons

Fully agree, season 3 was the best. That's also the season I started playing so it has some extra nostalgia to me like old KC does for OG season 0 players. My only complaint about season 3 is that I never played a BR before so I SUCKED back then and feel I didn't get to enjoy some aspects to the fullest, that the now slightly more experienced me would eat up. Give me back my train, I don't care if it's killed me more often than the enemies ON the train, it was my favorite "unique element" of a map.

EXTREMELY biased here, arenas wasn't that bad... CONTENT wise I can see where you're coming from but in terms of actual gameplay/stability, arenas was left in the dust since its release. The gamemode definitely had a great value to it too as it taught you many things that would take longer to learn in BR. IMO, you got taught how to handle 3v3s in a better matter, how to approach other teams, usages of abilities in tighter spaces, legend selections and what worked best, and just overall gameplay mechanics you couldn't learn for the most part in the BR aspect of the game (for the more casual players) due to the nature of the game; third parties, RNG in zones for multiple ring endings, being zone held. In terms of weapons, you had to use what you were given in BR. No REAL choice of attachments unless you killed other players that had it or you spent all game looting. In arenas you had the opportunity to actually learn more about each weapon and select different variants of attachments and such. (BEFORE EVERYONE SAYS "OH YOU'RE JUST AN ARENAS PLAYER, I HIT BOTH BR AND ARENAS PRED MULTIPLE SEASONS ACROSS MULTIPLE PLATFORMS AND ACCOUNTS. NEITHER ARE THAT HARD.) Arenas had a plethora of issues and damn near all of them we're not looked into. I'm not saying it was the BEST mode, because clearly it wasn't since they decided to remove it instead of fixing/working on it as it was live, but it definitely was not a terrible/trash gamemode. My biggest thing is don't knock it till you try it and if it was only attempted either once or JUST A FEW games, it doesn't count. Same way you give BRs a shot for 100+ games, you gotta do the same for the other before saying it was terrible/shit/bad. That's all there is to it.
