I've watched Yoyoka since she was a cute little kid starting out with her KZbin videos and thought "hmmmm, for 7 years old she's pretty good". Seeing her progress to the point where she could sit in with ANY band on the planet and absolutely KILL it has been nothing short of awe inspiring. She really is a miracle of musical genius

After the third or fourth video I watched I thought "if she's this good now just wait until her feet reach the floor". Then she grew, her feet rested firmly on the pedals, and her drummers face came in, and she became even yet still better than I thought she would. Such a talent.

I know there are a lot of great drummers who have recorded music, Tony Williams, Al Foster, Cobham, Bonham, Paice, Rich, Mike, Blakey and many many more, but...But, Yoyoka is my favorite. I say it out in the open, she is my favorite. It's not about skills, or how she sounds or anything like that ,(even though she hits hard, clear with an amazing groove and tempo) but it's because when she drums I can hear the infinite amounts of passion and love that she has. The kit to her is like oxygen to humans!

As always fantastic work, Yoyoka! You got that swing, so you got everything in my opinion hehe. Something has occurred to me with the birthday session, that these serve as something of a resume for you. They show, definitively, that you can attract musicians of the highest caliber, which is a top endorsement in itself, and play alongside them with ease, not breaking a sweat whilst doing so. Simply incredible!

Two things I noticed in the comments: people criticizing the singer's pronunciation. He is a grown man, Japanese, certainly not used to speaking English, so OBVIOUS his pronunciation will not be perfect. They are two totally different languages. How many Westerners could sing a song in Japanese without speaking that language? The other weird thing is the comments about Yoyoka's physical appearance. These are comments that have nothing to do with music, this is very suspicious. I think there are some perverts around here.

Yoyoka could be a seriously talented professional studio musician, even without reading ability she has the feel, the restraint and the chops to do so much. She has always been intuitive, and unlike so many other Young Japanese prodigy, is inside the music, part of it, as an extension of herself. She has "time".
