Kanella those pinks together are wonderful (pink is my second best color, blue being the favorite color choice) I love the way you blew this out. The composition hanging the way you like it is great. I really love that you have found an easy way to add good ole American Floetrol so we can manage the blowout blooms. I'm very inspired and will be trying as soon as today. You were right, we had a sale that put our little color to go was like $7 and change. I got 9 and saved $22. About $60 for 9, yes I was happy. Thank you for the tip. Beautiful Bloom!

Beautiful Bloom. It must be so different for you as the paint looks so much thicker than the Dutch pour. So lucky to still have your parents to help. I still have my Dad and he just turned 89, he is still driving, living in his own house, but he has beginning to decline. I’ve got a story for you when my mom was alive and we were into doing crafty things and shows she wants to get into doing wooden yard silhouettes and my dad you would usually cut them out for us and he got to where I wanted to do his thing with the woodwork, not our stuff so we decided to buy a scroll saw because we weren’t allowed to use his machines. We never even took it out of the box which still has the plastic wrapping and binding around it to pick it up with. In fact just a couple of years ago. I gave it to my brother to do with what he wanted. I don’t even know if he’s got it still because it was sitting in the shed in the backyard and I know it’s been 30 years or more since we bought the darn thing.

Very pretty and a perfect bloom. I was hoping to see more of the lighter pinks. Maybe if you left out some of the darker pinks and used just the lighter ones they would have been more visible, since the pink base would have come through anyway. Still very pretty..

Question….aside from the fact that they have amazing colors, is there a reason you use TLP almost exclusively when doing a bloom? Is it consistency, cell formation,, etc. (You use many different brands when doing the Dutch Pour) Thanks for helping me in my bloomin’ journey 😂

It’s actually a good idea to use other paint brands as well. Sometimes I do use Amsterdam. I just need to find some time to mix some paints with the bloom ingredients. Just haven’t had the time.

I price based on the quality of the materials I use. If I’m using cheap level 1 canvases and dollar store paint I can’t charge much. But I use level 3 canvases and high quality paints. So I charge more. I also add money for my time and also my years of experience. There are a LOT of factors in pricing art. Price what you think is best and fair (if you’re a beginner) and as long as you’re not losing money.
