I'm commenting on this about 3 years after you uploaded it, and I'm glad to see that other commenters are having the same reaction to your dogs that I did. I don't think any of us are upset at all that your dogs are barking. They're not in the room with you keeping us from being able to hear you. And all of us are artists at home, with things in our houses that make noise. My husband coughs and sneezes and talks to me when I'm trying to record. So yeah don't worry about it! It's fine. And your coasters came out so pretty. 😊

It's so funny - I am also in Canada (AB) & I have *boxes* of these tiles. My mom painted quite a few years away in her earliest years retired. Eventually, they sat when she could do it no more. Now I've inherited them, and pouring appears my heart has gone...so onward with the tiles 😁 I pulled out my first stack to practice with this weekend. Thank you for the video!

Pretty coasters! A little tip you might want to try: I was playing with some mini canvas a while back and placed them on the little cups like that. I discovered if I turned the cup top side up and placed some glass stones (like for fridge magnets) in the cups, it made the cups more stable and gave a wider base for the canvas/coaster to sit on by having them sit on the rim vs. the bottom of the cup. Looking so forward to seeing your new studio!!!

Well, all I can say is I’m really glad that I don’t have to pick out a favourite!! They all turned out so beautifully! Thank you for all the time you spend recording your creations… I know we say it often but I’m not sure how often it’s really heard. Like, with each stage of this art project, you weren’t originally going to record… but then, with each step, you actually chose to set up all gear, just so you could use the project as another opportunity to teach and share. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that all your time and effort, is so gratefully appreciated!! Our German shepherd and 6 pomeranians do a pack howl whenever they hear sirens. We find it quite amusing and we get woken up by them every morning as well. No need for apologies, it put a big ol' smile on my face.

Hi Kanella, Thank you for explaining everything so well. I have always wanted to make tile coasters but never quite knew what to do. I have never used resin but today I found a place in West Aussie that sell it so I've bought it. Couldn't find 100mm so had to settle for 97mm. Just dutch poured my first 4 tiles. Yay so happy & I love them. You have got me so motivated. I'm 67 yo and feeling 20 again. Thank you. You are my inspiration and I love your dogs.

I up grew up in house full of dachshunds and they went off every time the phone rang and they would not stop. If we answered the we couldn't hear so we had to wait and call back. These are beautiful ❤️ and I'm trying my first tile coasters today. Thank you for the tutorial!
