I love how after they cut the carpet and pull away the strip, you can clearly see the floor and gap between the trim 😂 "professional look"

At 3:06 when they pull the excess carpet away from the cut, it looks like there's a gap between the carpet and trim.... Is that the case? I have never installed carpet before, and I'm about to install some Kanga backed carpet. I would consider my carpet ruined if that happened. I want mine to be flush with the trim. Any advice for how to do that?

yea he missed that cut i dont to the other commentor if you have raised baseboard you can cut a hair heavy and tuck under them but if they are slammed down you will have to tight cut im guessing which look like itd be a pain with this not to mention the expansion/contraction will probably show gaps over time idk as a floor layer this carpet looks like itd be a pain.

I'm pretty sure the gap is there because the guy is cutting at an angle. You're supposed to lay the knife flat and cut. Or use the carpet trimming tool
