i think the problem is that constructions despawn before entities when you get far away, making fences useless, maybe it can be solved by welding half trunks together and using that to create a room (that's how i remember it to work, needs to be tested).

All of the chests at the beginning near the crashed ship are preset drops. That's why they are the only chests that drop scrap wheels, they're meant to get you what you need to survive and build a basic vehicle

@@thatoneanimator-ishdude5869 yeah but the starter ones have a smaller loot amount you mostly get food and the building next to it can give you gas basic car mats (bearings and wheels) all of these things can be found in any other loot box but it’s higher chance of getting simple stuff for basic survival

Fant mod has some great water features now it is constantly evolving and he is very active on keeping it up to date. Also there is ways to organize boxes so cosmo can just drop his junk into a box. It would be cool to see you guys give it a go

12:45 I once looked in the gamefiles from Scrap Mechanic and there are different loottypes. Normal loot, epicloot, warehouseloot and startarealoot. In the startarealoot is a high chance for food and in the warehouseloot is a high chance for component kits. And when you change things in there you can make component kits or other stuff more often or less. A german youtuber made that and said Scrap Mechanic is a build game and no grind game.

There are different loot tables for different chest The spawn chests, the warehouse, gold chests, Normal chests. Gold warehouse chests.

Hey Kan - Here's an idea for MultiPlayer Monday. Each player has to build a car that uses thrusters only, with no limit to the amount of thrusters. Course has to be cross country, up hills, down valleys. Build limit 16x24 wide / long. The following week the same applies, but with engines. No limits for engines either. You can call it the no limit race / unlimited race / maxi race.

There are actually 5 crate types: Green (crashed ship) Green (ruins) Green (warehouse) Gold (ruins) Gold (warehouse) And each one has different items with different rarities (This is not some speculation, i know this because I'm making a mod)

I do find it really strange that a game called Scrap Mechanic doesn't have a scrap mechanic. Even if it was just a machine that extracts one resource from an item. Like, you could insert one of the level 3 seats that you always seem to get in warehouses and reclaim the components kits or metal. Of course, there would much less need for such a machine if you could just cancel items in your crafting cue.

The spine = component kit idea would be cool. I think that you would have to fill up a resource collector with haybot spines (must be full), then have it get sucked up by the trader's inhaling thing (the resource collector would be spit out again, just empty). one resource collector worth of spines would give you 5 component kits from the trader. Sounds pretty balanced since it'll still take quite a bit to fill up a collector with spines.

Scrap man Chapter 2 needs to add a Deconstruction Bot in for survival! It would make it so much easier and reduce thrown away junk that you accidentally built! And also expand on the Trader’s sales. If those two things were added, it would be amazing!

With what you said about the city and Scrapman's idea of a Hammer upgrade, i think that there should be a slight increase in loot and bots with a way to upgrade hammer damage and manual refining speed in scrap city

Great idea, that’d give us a reason to go to scrap city. I’m thinking customizable hammers. You could go for attack speed or heavy hitting, or even extra range. Same goes for the spudguns. The regular one could have a higher fire rate or burst attack mod, and the shotgun and spudling gun could have a focused fire mod.

You can make a good boat, I’ve made a car ferry in my world! It’s basically the scrap mechanic equivalent of a ‘chain ferry’ , using a long line of blocks and some wheels to pull itself along. Basically a water monorail.

I also found the loot tables for the chest but I must not have done that right cuz it did not seem to work.

We stopped picking up or refining arms in front of our farm when farming and defending for like 9 out of 10 straight days, and my girlfriend's game lagged UNPLAYABLY. That's actually how I first found out stuff lying on the ground caused lag. Cleared up totally when we picked them up and stacked them on the ground.

likely nobody will see this cause this is an old vid, but your default hammer is most likely scrap stone, maybe you could upgrade it to scrap metal and the metal 1 then metal 2 then metal 3 so i would cost some circuit boards or component kits to make it more powerful. This mostly seems fair.

Im pretty sure if the arm is placed on the ground it stops rendering Physics....if the arm is free on the ground (it can roll...ect.) it is calculating physics even though when it is resting there must have been a lot of optimization work that the physics stops for that arm just because it is not rolling.

you could maybe upgrade your trucks, or make beautifull and fast exploration vehicles, in this video, your trucks was useless to farm chests. With exploration vehicles you can go way faster, and you can kill bots with some tier 3 metal blocks you could also make a monkey-vehicle to farm in ruins, make a collector vehicle to get all the arms around your farm, or to collect the arms in the fields after you crushed a lot of bots. you can have infinite metal easy like this, and it's fun to kill bots with vehicles you could also make a lift for your vehicles and store them in the tree, like your base with all this metal Maybe build a monorail between your 2 trees because it could be fun
