Back again with more Noob vs Pro Scrap Mechanic! Today we are actually doing an idea that Dapper came up with which is the stair climbing challenge! In this challenge we have a massive staircase and we have to build a vehicle that can climb the stairs one at a time but still move quickly and maintain balance!

When I was playing in challenge mode, there was a challenge where you had to make a stair climbing vehicle, and you've got pistons, bearings, 5 logic gates, a couple of sensors and a bunch of buttons/switches. I decided to make a fully automatic vehicle that would go up when there's a step in front, and I tried many designs, but I always ran out of logic gates. For a moment I thought it wasn't doable, but in the end I did manage to do it, and I was so proud, it worked so well, and it had only 5 logic gates!

Hey kAN, I have a build suggestion from my robotics competition days, first, Love the vids! Replace any quoted words with whatever usable things you can in game. So the challenge is to build a "Robot" that can do the job of a firefighter, the "Robot" had to complete three things the best it could. First, needs to be able to launch/shoot "Ping pong balls" to knock over high up "Stacked Red Cups" that represented fire, Second Be able to carry/drag a "dummy" that represented a unconscious person, Third, the "Robot" needs to navigate a mess in the arena to complete the other challenges.

You could make a mass asist like in AK-107. So when you pull whells up, it doesn't pull your vehicle down (because you pull equal mass down).

If dapper made a big square with wheels and thrusters that would push him the direction he needs to go no matter how he is flipped and then also have a motor that drives the wheels to help climb the wall and then also use slightly bigger tires it may would . I dont really know I dont play the game don't have a PC, but in theory it should work . Like a wall climber that's square with wheels all the way around it .

Great challenge I like it :D it will be nice to see the same one but you need to build wehicle and race it down below the stairs. I mean, something like up thrust to stick the wheels on the stairs. You can choose direction as well, top to bottom or opposite, bottom to top will be interesting. So it needs to be the wehicle that sticks below the stairs but is oriented correctly (by gravity) you know what I mean :D

I would like to see the forklift challenge, that you mentioned kan. But you need to make it a rule rear wheel steering only. None of this 4 wheel or front wheel steering ive seen in previous forklift challenges🙄😔 ( its offensive to forklifts 😆) the challenge should be carrying a pallet through a tight course, then loading onto a rack at the end. Who can do 4 ( or how ever many) pallets in the quickest time or something. Maybe line the course with sensors on a 1 block range ( make the course a width of say, 10 blocks but you only have an 8 block clearance, or how ever big you make the forklifts) connected to a light, if you activate a sensor you add 1 second to your overall time as a penalty. Maybe this could be a multiplayer and/or noob vs pro.

I feel like if the challenge was build a symmetrical vehicle, Dapper wouldn't even win the redemption round.😏 Like if the challenge was flying or gliding, He'd probably still put all of his wings on 1 side and the thrusters 4 blocks high and to the right.
