I Built an Ultra Fast Flyer For Getting 100% Game Completion Quickly! (Crashlander Survival Mod 35)

In this episode we are back in Crashlander survival! I finally went ahead and built a flyer so we could quickly jump back and forth to the HQ to complete all the remaining side quests in search of 100% game completion!

We're working on a HUGE update (1.2) and it will add a lot of new content; such as Llamas, balloons and overall improved terrain generation and even a lot of the interactables that already exist (Like searchbar in crafters)! By the way, the caves since the last update also have swarms of glow crawlers that trigger if you agitate them too much with explosions and mining. That way you can both get materials and get the scutes for the quest.

can you please add another thruster, something with better fuel economy and thrust to weight ratio? level 5 thruster at max power burns one fuel every 5 seconds and it's 1.5 times heavier than the old vanilla thruster while having the same thrust. Something that burns, say, one fuel every 10 or even 20 seconds and weighs less would be amazing. (high performance flyers usually have 50-100 thrusters so low fuel consumption would be amazing, even if the thrusters are more expensive to make)

adding the 2 back thrusters actually made the flyer more efficient. it took you about a minute to go from HQ to base with the single back thruster (BT) going at about 100km/h. for every BT you added you were going about 100km/h faster. this means it took you half the time with 2 BTs and a third with 3. so assuming the burn rate for each thruster is 2 fuel every minute (completely made up ratio, idk what SM's actual rate is), you would have burned 2×1×5 (ratio×minutes×thrusters) = 10, adding 1 BT you get 2×.5×6=6, and finally with 3 BTs it becomes 2×.3=4.7 get it? you add thrusters but you increase so much in speed such that the 4 thrusters which have to be active for the whole flight are on for less time.

The one problem with this is that it doesn't account for the thruster's weight, also if you wanted to know, the fuel usage on lvl 5 thrusters is about 1 every 5 seconds

Yes. As far as I can make out, with one thruster, he burned 53 gas on a round trip to HQ - with three, he burned 23. So having three thrusters saves about 15% gas, right?

you should definitely try the compact computer the claw gun and the exposive drill and whatever the mod adds. you could modyfy the mining vehicle with wasd converter with the computer and the drills. You also should try a powerlevelconverter fo the thrusters on the flyer so you can modyfy the power mid flight (if I understood this block right) especially the thrusters on the bottom so you can go up and down

You can actually do it with 4 thrusters and make them tip forward and back with an electric motor. I never had it tip side to side, but I did have it tip front to back. I just used a steering glitch to tip forward and back. This let the normal controls top forward and back and a steering glitch rotate. I put stops to the engines could only rotate so much (90 degrees forward and 45 back). Then all for thrusters turn on with the left mouse and the right mouse would tip it forward a tiny bit as it always would slowly lean back. With all four thrusters tipped forward it would go FAST. This let the fuel go a lot farther. I can also pulse the engines on and off and tap them to stay up only once I am up to speed. I could literally go a full loop around the map on one full tank of fuel. I could hit 4-6 warehouse roofs to get all the chests and get back to base with one tank. This also needed no controllers or logic gates. Very simple and very effective. I would also put a beacon and a bed on it just in case. I actually built it out of cardboard to keep the weight down and went for efficiency and not looks.

I wonder why you didn't talk to all 3 of them, write down a complete shopping list and bring all of the stuff to the HQ in a single run. Not that you need to conserve fuel at this point, but you could have saved some time.

It looks like the taxi from 5th element. Needs more cab though, but still pretty awesome. The polished blocks look amazing. I’m imagining a bulldozer made of them with explosive drill bits.

You don't have to have the quest to complete the quests... For example, you could grow the 50 pineapples and collect the 30 milk, then go pick up his quests for some quick completions instead of having to run back and forth to the headquarters burning so much fuel.

You should upgrade your driver seat fully, that'll let you fix the twitchiness. All you need to do is reduce the angle on the steering bearing.

You could shut off the thrusters below, when you lifted off (like a vtol-jet/rocket). You could also make the downwards thrusters turn forwards, when you lifted off, so that you would have 7 thrusters propelling you forwards XD I made myself an elevator-flyer in my survival world. it has 4 thrusters built above and suspension glitches to maneuver, but it also kinda flies like a rocket. I did use metal3 to have a safety frame around it, but also everything else is wood1 on it and pipes with bearings and pistons as retractable landing gear.

IMO, if you're wanting to wrap, go all out. Plant your pineapple seed, double it, double it, double it till you have all you need. Improve the base to fight off the raids. Would make a great end to the series.

I don’t know what you should do next, but I do know we should put the forefront thrusters on a bearing with a pusher of a switch. 05 thrusters will be facing backwards and you can go a lot faster.

since your base is between 2 chunks, can you make 2 of said auto farmer 1 per chunk?

You could just set up a gas station on the mesa next to the oil pond, build an extra crafter to make gasoline and a whole lot of storage along with the auto filler.

kan you should try out the angle sensor from fant mod. its great. can be used to auto balance and all kinda crazy stuff. fant mod is too OP for survival imo but it have alot of funky features that im sure you could have alot of fun with.

Flyer can be mor efficient if you fly faster. Now you have only one thruster pushing. If you just fly with the lift thrusters only and tilt the flyer, and go full bore its a lot better.

Why dont you remove the thruster on the back and make the two thrusters on the back moveable so u can go further and burn less casoline and also the flyer will go faster because there will be two thrusters for pushing it forward

KAN please don't wish anything from chapter 2 more than it will even come out, because You're just postponing the release date 😂 And after whole episode -I think that Your pc just isn't ready for 3rd thruster. Crap mechanic doesn't have problems with performance, we need to wait until it will run on quantum computer 😂 And regarding this mod - You ended the story and in the mean time sidequests were added... It's like multithreading when something isn't finished on one thread on which the other relies, You shuld get it but for the others - this should be played from beggining till the end upon every update not to mess around the main and additional threads...
