Never thought about grinding the old valve down for better access to the edge of the seat. It’s tough to get in there sometimes. Thanks for the tip.

So are you an Australian living in the US? Your accent is odd, same thing happened to me living in Europe. I was wondering where the Kangaroo and Kanga came from on your website, but if you're an Aussie abroad that would make sense. I was reading up on your Subaru LSD install article, thanks for that! Must be great living in the US with so much access to S30Z parts!

Australian living in US, been here for about 10 years, but I have lived in Europe and other places so my accent is all mixed up. Thanks glad you liked the Subaru article.

Great video!!! Any idea on how many cc’s were added by doing this?
@KangaMotorsports4 жыл бұрын
About 0.25 to 1.0 CC per chamber depending on the chamber but that prior to skimming the head for the fresh surface. I will know better when I complete final assembly and remeasure.

hi, first of thanks for your Videos. I just have a simple question. I tried doing the same but it looks like my head was poorly produced as there are alot of air bubbles in the cast (aluminium head) . Are all heads prepared like that or how did you removed this bubbles without removing too much material thanks in advance
@KangaMotorsports6 жыл бұрын
Glad the videos were helpful. Send me some photos in an email at: kangamotorsports@gmail.com and I'll take a look. I haven't seen that in any of the heads I have worked on but you might be right about a poor casting. What type of head is it?
@kalbi7776 жыл бұрын
it's a c14nz Opel (GM Family 1 engine) as i read on Wikipedia it is an aluminium head. I sended you some pics about the head. i'm curious what you Think about it
@KangaMotorsports6 жыл бұрын
That looks like a bad casting. Not sure how porous it is. Looks like you did the best you can do with the issues. You might just run it and see how it goes. You do want to be careful about taking too much material away especially if it doesn’t get better with the porosity and voids. Good luck with your motor build.

1.your cyl head into your bare bored block and scribe to get chamber size CC to get 11 to 1 comp ratio . L series love high comp 2. Exhaust .Take out exhaust guides and shape guide boss to 45 deg angle shorten exhaust guide 10mm / 3/8 inch ,taper and reinstall 3. Intake open area under valve only and leave port w rough finish. 4. N/A motors need good long exhaust tune length pipes . smaller will scavenge better
@KangaMotorsports7 жыл бұрын
Thanks @robwhite240z. I am running a little less compression since I am in California and pump gas sucks. As the car is mostly used for touring around I didn't want to have find race gas or octane booster on road trips. Still looking into exhausts at the moment. I will have the shop knock down the exhaust guides when they do the valve job.

With a little of the money you make in motorsports, assuming you make money at it, you might consider hiring a speech therapist.
