Thanks for the introduction to Kangaroo Island, it's great to see different parts of the world and learn about their ecology. 33°c that's about 36° hotter than in Scotland right now. I guess your used to the heat but when it gets above 17°c here we think that's tropical. I'm going to do some of the Scottish islands this year and try to do it either side of the summer season when the tourists and the midgies ( local tiny mosquito type flies with a bite like Jaws) are less prevalent. That way I can stop and take photos and put the drone up without getting eaten alive.
@MRTPR Жыл бұрын
It has been 40 degrees here lately and I love it. Jus t love the island, those tiny mozzies sound dreadful. Take care mate and don’t get bitten. 😎
@greywolf9292 Жыл бұрын
@@MRTPR Strewth, forty degrees, doesn't the tar melt? I know I would!! Yes a bit like parts of Australia are plagued with flies, midgies outnumber them by millions. They don't like cold wet or windy days but in fair weather they're really really irritating. Even on your bike with your helmet on you need to outrun them, as soon as you stop they'll make a meal of any exposed skin. There are creams which deter them and many people wear mosquito hoods, still at least they're not deadly like Brown snakes. I thought about emigrating to Australia when I was eighteen. Then I discovered that out of the world's most poisonous snakes the rest of the world doesn't rank till eleven. Australia isn't so much in the top ten, it is the top ten 😱

Kangaroo Island sounds a beautiful place. Nature's ability to regenerate after devastating fires is incredible. If I ever make it to your side of the globe, there's so many places I would love to visit. 30C+ sounds great, currently below freezing here in central England. Thanks for the vid, cheers and take care.

Sounds wonderful there. It is quite astonishing how nature bouncers back after a fire, we are used to seeing the Park Rangers here setting fire to strips of moorland as we live in a National Park, this is to encourage new growth and to help control wild fires. Do you know what those lilac coloured flowers are at the side of the road at 2,30 I saw quite a few of them as you were riding. It is a great experience to get that close to birds of prey, just awesome creatures, unfortunately we found a sick Sparrow Hawk chick at our house this week, it let me stroke it but was clearly unwell. Contacted the RSPB who said just leave it alone, went back outside to find the poor thing already dead, such a beautiful bird too. Ride safe and thank you for reminding us how nice and warm you are, we are at -6 with snow as I type this! 👍😂😂
@MRTPR Жыл бұрын
Hello Mate those flowers are Agapanthus Africanus, very easy to grow here and they come in purple and white. They are very hardly and we have plenty in our garden at home. Just pop over and I would love to show you Kangaroo Island , well worth a visit. Sorry to hear about that poor little bird Mate.

I took the Tenere over there a couple of years ago. I rode everywhere and did everything the island has to offer. Interestingly, the dirt roads in the centre of the island are covered in red round rocks like ball bearings. I stayed in Kingscoat at the Ozone apartments overlooking the ocean. It was a great holiday and I would defenetly recomend checking it out. The highlight for me was getting to hold the Wedgetail and the Falcon.

We weren’t allowed to hold the wedge tailed eagle 😳. Loved the place, and would love to visit again soon. The roads we traveled on were hard packed dirt roads, so we were lucky. Hope to see you on the roads soon 😎.

I noticed your check engine light was on. Was the code f1. You fix that by turning it and off for a minute? Thats what i do.
@MRTPR Жыл бұрын
Good pick up, I have tried everything, as well as what you mentioned. The Suzuki dealer said it was an exhaust valve, I think (I am no mechanic) I ended up installing a servo buddy and by passing the servo motor. That has fixed it and the bike has a deeper note at low reeves and pulls harder. I need to take it for a proper test ride. No more F1 light so far, happy days. 😎 That you for your input, I appreciate it.
