Byron Pickett, with shoutouts to every sensational talent that has played the game.

Wokey Nth wouldn’t let a player like Pickett play for us now. He played too rough & hard 👍❤️💪

Winnie Abraham, easily.

Can't believe no one said Winnie. Devastated.
@bdawg3942Ай бұрын
We are talking 90’s, they weren’t even probably born or too young to remember.
@bdawg3942Ай бұрын
As brief as it was, Adrian Mc Cadam was something for a very short time.

I'd forgotten him, he was great!

@@bdawg3942 I remember players from before I was born. I did my own research and made sure I knew the history, of the game. This generation clearly doesn't give a f**k!!

Lucky enough to be at the MCG Rd 1 1982 when Jim & Phil Krakouer debuted. They took the football world by storm in 1982 with their telepathy of knowing where each other were on the field. The Jeff Hook cartoon in the Herald Sun of the Krakouers boys having the footy on a string (like a yo-yo) and opposition players having 3 pair of eyes trying to keep watch. The cartoon was captioned " I Think I'm Going Krakouers" Iconic. I was at the MCG Rd 1 2007 when Lindsay Thomas & Matty Campbell debuted. Matty was quiet, & Lindsay kicked 5 points. Over the next few years, their forward pressure and ability to sniff out a goal, you could see the "fear of god" in oppostion defences eyes, when those 2 where hunting the footy together. Was at the MCG Rd 3 2004, Carlton V North, North blew a 6 goal lead, to be behind with a minute to play. Adam Simpson quick thinking after a controversial Carlton out of bounds on the full at North's half forward flank. Kicked backwards to an free Daniel Wells on the 50 metre arc. With 30 seconds left in the game, Wells from outside 50 kicks the winning goal. One of the many Daniel Wells highlights throughout a stellar career. He was a joy to watch. The Rolls Royce footballer. Byron Pickett's combination of brute force & silky skill was also great to watch. As @bdawg3942 reminded me Adrian McAdam. 1993 playing forward pocket with Carey & Longmire in the key forward posts, and Mark Roberts playing half forward/on ball, all kicked 50 + goals for the year. McAdam first 10 games for North , he kicked 52 goals......freakish footballer
