My favourite audio diary is one on Alpha Series, talking about how they react when their Sister is removed. It ends "The other day I saw one kneeling near a Gatherer's Garden and...crying." Which is beautiful and heart wrenching all at once, especially in his voice.

Yes, he seemed to feel very bad for them, something Suchong never would. Deep down, he really was a good man and a genius scientist. But Rapture seemed to change him, and by the time he decided he had gone too far, he was left with no way to make things right. What kind of way to fall is that..?

I'm honestly a bit sad that Gil Alexander was not in Infinite. He was a genius, making war machines designed to kill mutants all for the sake of giddy little girls. He even kept them updated, making sure they stayed apex war machines. And he made sure they could be controlled through love. Sadly, he too used his genius for a science that was doomed to cause destruction. Unlike Yi Suchong, though, he truly believed in unity until he realized just how corrupting Sofia Lamb's idea of unity was. He in the end realized how horrible Eleanor's fate would be if she stayed in Rapture, filled with remorse. On a related but somewhat tangential note, it's also tragic how when Brigid decided she didn't want the kids to stay mutants, she had to affect the Alpha Series in the process, and cause them deep rooted grief. It really shows the consequences for even starting this horrible experiment. And still, he was also clever enough to predict that he would become the biggest splicer in every sense of the word, and how someone would be able to kill him.

He's talking about the Alpha Series Big Daddies here. The ones you see wandering were made later. The Alpha Series daddies that attack you are being used as foot soldiers like he mentions here.

He may be just as lawful evil as the Doctor Suchong that preceded, but at least he was more classy about his 'progressive villainy'. PS, the changing scenery with each audio log is a nice touch.
