The Kangiiten Mysore Sandalwood oil, steam distilled from luscious heartwoods from Mysore, a fine balance between buttery woody alpha santalol notes and the creamy beta santalol tones. No Sappy notes at all, which is a testament to the fine aged materials used in distillation. This is a full bodied oil that develops on skin very nicely, and is excellent on its own, or to be used in a myriad of attars as a central note. A dab of this transports you deep into the ancient shrines of Karnataka over a century ago, where the gods were regularly bathed and consecrated with copious amounts of the best sandalwood pastes or oils ever.

Great video brother. What he means about the natural vs synthetic part, is that synthetics have a harsh texture on the nose, while naturals do not, and they are calm without crazy projection and sillage.. Real sandalwood is incredibly calm, has evolution, caramel toasty creamy vanilla woody scent that makes you sleepy and relaxed. Synthetics do not change, typically smell very much like milk, are overly powerful and sweet, smell slightly greasy and may have nuances of rose or coconut.. and you can feel that they are "harsh" or screechy when you smell them.

You should try the Tonga sandalwood oil I think is even creamier. Their attars are priced so affordably and the smell is crazily good. Can’t wait for more.
