@@WMCSi think with a second jack it is possible. I have done this with heavy gearboxes.. By the way, are you sure this is a 3 liter engine? I think it is a 2,3 liter.
@arvydasmacis4265 Жыл бұрын
I say same then do first ducato gearbox on driveway. After i do more then 50😅. Fue tips from my side. Then removing m40 gearbox from 2.3 ducato you dont need to remove right driveshaft because there enough space between gearbox and subframe. Then removing from 3jtd must remove right driveshaft. And i always suport engine with two jacks one like you do, under the oil pan other under air condition compresor. Lifting this jack i rotate engine clock wise ant make more room between gearbox and subframe. Then instaling gearbox first i put bell housing on clutch and leave diff in lowest position and then rotate gearbox anticlockwise. Sorry for my bad english.

Hey Kevin, at @49:05 would you please tell me why you put a sikaflex/sealant behind the central slave cylinder (release/throwaway bearing)?? I realize it's a hydraulic one. I watched almost all of your videos and noticed that you sometimes put just grease or simply nothing. You also sometimes prime it. Can you help me figure this out? The reason I'm asking is because I've also replaced the clutch, throwaway bearing and the DMF for the exact engine 3,0L of a Citroen Jumper 11 months and 10k km before, and now I ended up with a complete clutch failure. The clutch is not disengaging. Idk what went wrong with my install, so maybe the sealant was missing?

Hi Kev. Excellent chanell. I know you are uber busy but, being cheeky would you answer a quick question? At witts end. Although this relates specifically to ourHyundai i40 2014 1.7cdti full dual mass clutch change Sachs/LUK - I am assuming it’s the same for many modern vehicles. Would have called you out if not 250 miles away. Initially release bearing leaking - gearbox all good, 20k clutch but slight rattle from DM so changed the lot. Issue - no gears after change except when engine off - yes 2 of us confirmed friction plate facing right way BEFORE it went in, full manual and vac bleed of release bearing, 400ml to clear all bubbles. Kudos to you for lifting that monster box on your own mate. Borescope into bellhousing showing release & cover plate moving but obviously not enough to change gear. Assuming the auto clutch adjuster on new cover plate did not magically adjust itself then why would it not disengage when pedal depressed - yes pedal is high and feels good but maybe not pushing far enough? Only poss reason I’ve come across is clutch pressure regulator failing when bled but no one can say why it would do that and this is the plastic one that cannot be bypassed. Any insight/suggestions? BTW - took you mins to get box in - took 2 of us 3 bloomin hours just trying to clear that crossmember to get box back in! even more kudos to you mate.
