Top boy had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Wow!. It also shows me how blessed I am to have not grown up in that environment because that is really tough. To think people have to live like that is heartbreaking. It’s a horrible life. After watching it, it’s made me complain less about bad things going on in my life and for that I’m grateful. A real humbling eye opener.

Main storyline was some crazy ex boyfriend and they kill off main characters with zero explanation or context, you can tell the drake and future influence creeped in when they made it an action movie …

I'm from America and really like this show. The culture in London is so raw, and these actors really show that through the characters. The most thing I am proud of, though, is black unity. America had a show called "Money & Violence." It was just as compelling but the brothers let ego and money get in the way. Cheers to these actors for sticking together and completing the mission. Kano is a brilliant actor. I came into top boy really late like 2 weeks ago! However I really loved the writing it's not your typical gang glory film. There are human stories behind it. I m proud of all the actors but for me Kano just stands out, he's ability to portray his emotions is impeccable really love the acting love Ashley to hevis a real good brother just keeping his head down and doing his ting man! Well done all can't wait watch Season 2 boom!

Netflix 'Season 1' is actually season 3 - Season's one and two were originally released as two mini - series on Channel 4 between 2011 and 2013 and are now available on Netflix renamed "Top Boy - Summerhouse".In real terms the new 2022 "Netflix Season 2" is actually Season 4 of Top Boy. If I am right - its not too late to go back and watch the originals - there is only about 8 hours worth between Season 1 and 2.

I would love to see Kano assume the role of Noel Clarke's character in Bulletproof. That series is a hidden british gem. Ashley and Kane have great chemistry, and would be refreshing to see them in a more light hearted, at times comedic setting. How unreal would it be to see them pull off two different sets of iconic characters in two separate shows? The irony of being top boys in one show, and top cops in the other. Also, would just like to see Kano in some more roles as I'm constantly taken aback by how good he is as Sully. Kano in Bulletproof - this needs to happen.

Bulletproof is very underrated and definitely needs to come back on screen. Noel Clarke and Ashley Walters had good chemistry on that series too but that seems over with.
