Some have been commenting about how the reason she kept her distance was that she feared "Falling for him more", but look more carefully here. She admitted to having a smell fetish, and she feared if she got too close to him, she was afraid she'd lose control and act inappropriate in public, which is a thing looked down on in Japanese culture. She knew full well her fetish was odd and not always accepted, and she wasn't sure Naoyuki would accept her odd taste, so had to approach carefully, but even she admits she may have been too careful. I woulda asked her reasons for being cold, and explain that being cold to me is hurting the relationship. To outright break up from such coldness without actually trying to understand her is such a bad symptom of current relationships being so short-lived. I on the other hand applaud mMC for having the saintly patience to tolerate fMC's late-bloomer status.

thirdly, if you think about it, fMC had loads of reasons to be overly cautious around mMC. MOST people would run for the hills if they ever caught a whiff (pun intended) of such weirdness, I wouldn't be surprised if she actually had crushes before current mMC, only to have been torched as a fetish witch in PUBLIC. That shiz is traumatizing, and had mMC not decided to check her despite being told not to, fMC would kept that fetish in the closet for eternity. I was still married at the time and do not believe in cheating, so I had to avoid being anywhere near her. But she didn't seam to affect other guys that way. Go figure?

Think more "I wouldn't hold back and jump you", which could definitely freak him out and make him run away. Basically, holding back her feelings so as to not scare him off. So this was all because of Ichika having a smell fetish. Honestly this wasn't so bad compared to how tsundere stories tend to be. I'm glad that Naoyuki and Ichika could get together, especially with Ichika being honest with herself. And their time after getting married was adorable and hilarious. Especially, "I mean, you could always smell me directly and..." When he said that I immediately was just "Oh no!" All capped off with a star-eyed Ichika saying "What was that again?" Absolutely perfect. And that ending in the locker was too cute. All this was thanks to Hyoma being a perfect wingman for both of them, hopefully he gets invited to the wedding ceremony. I can see how a lot of people would find this a bad video. I think it’s a good one, but I can see how many would think differently. The thing is that you don’t know how someone will react to something you like. Raise of hands, who here would want their significant other to have a foot fetish? -doesn’t raise his hand- Some accept it, and some don’t. Losing someone because of it is a scary thing, so you keep that part of you a secret. That being said, I agree the FMC could have done something different in keeping it a secret or redirecting the cause. Something like ‘I feel more comfortable doing intimate things after marriage. I do love you, but can you please wait till then’. That right there could have saved a lot of headaches. And as the MC VA mentioned the Japanese culture is more prudish when it comes to physical intimacy. If she felt like she couldn’t hold herself back due to her fetish then she risked alienating not just the MC but the rest of society. Being cold wasn’t the best solution, but it was a safe one given the circumstances.
