Kansas City police are testing new road pucks to stop sideshows before they start. But local car enthusiasts say they aren’t the answer.

Education or whatever is not KCPD's responsibility. This is mayhem, it disturbs the peace, it's dangerous and threatens commercial and private property. These thugs do not own the city after nightfall! I realize these are huge crowds, but we know they have ways to disperse huge crowds.

Funny to see all the names they call reckless driving in different cities. Here its "exhibition driving"

“Build a facility and it’s done!”… who is holding liability for injury or damage to property?… also with many of these cars being stolen nobody is showing up to a “facility” with a hot vehicle..

Why not charge for side shows at the, race ways...
@theaccelerator4908 Жыл бұрын
Sadly the race tracks they could go to. A lot are being removed in the USA. I can't speak for Kansas City, but Houston just had to demolish they're biggest drag strip to build more houses. Not just Houston it's been in Atlanta, California, Florida, Arizona, Memphis, New jersey, Oklahoma here in VA they just got rid of a track due to noise complaints and building houses. Note these are huge drag strips and race tracks. The less tracks they have to go to the more they will just go on the street. For a lot of these tracks they were the only track near them and now they have to travel 4-5 hours for the next closest one which not everyone can do. As much as I don't support taking it on the street it's in inevitable.

How has this been allowed to become a thing at all? It should be easy to put an end to. Why are they dragging their feet?

Exactly! Looks like San Jose is dealing with it a little differently. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gIiTdZRqp86YnKM That will sting a little bit. Also, I'm amazed at how many dirt bikes and 4-wheelers are tearing up the streets and parks the last few years and nobody does anything about it.

@@DB2023Space Thanks for the link! That's exactly what I was thinking they should do to put an end to this stuff. It's good to see a city finally taking it seriously and doing something about it. Other cities with this problem should follow their lead imo. Much better than putting metal lumps on the street!

The Logan dude had an incredible solution “build a facility let them do it in a controlled environment” but nobody is listening to him
@backyardbuilttrucks1Ай бұрын
If you build a facility , they will just take it over as they don’t care , have no respect , and this shit is not racing of any kind
@arcatacompany Жыл бұрын
No don't listen to that rational man that does this for a living, he represents all of those people and knows how to deal with the solution,instead how about you take taxpayer money and put a bunch of junk in the road that will cause accidents it will absolutely not stop any of the sideshows and in the worst case scenario will cause them direct easier and other people on bicycles and walking will trip over them that's all it's a way to spend money
@joeybagodonuts6683 Жыл бұрын
They wouldn't have to waste taxpayer dollars and all of that if these aholes would just stop doing this crap. It's ridiculous that it has gone on this long. If people want to do that kind of thing then they should find a way to do it legally. Just like we don't allow street racing in the city- people go to the racetracks to do that. Imo the cars should be seized and destroyed, and the owners charged criminally. That would put a quick end to it happening in the city, and it would "encourage" them to find a safe and legal way to do it.
@1smhx5 Жыл бұрын
Yeah Man fuck that wait till they do it again and send in the swat team tear gas them all amd arrest the whole lot of them 24 hours in jail says they prob won’t do it again
@markmurphy64132 ай бұрын
Get real. let’s see that enforcement activity, all you’re doing is putting yourselves in danger. Leave us alone or give us an outlet but don’t shut down every track every automotive facility in the city and then turn around pissed when we have nowhere to go.
@johns5263 Жыл бұрын
I mean he is right. Kids and some adults get in trouble because they keep taking places away that give people an outlet. Park, roller rinks, ect.Thats why(in my opinion) kids are hooked on drugs. It's the only thing they can do.

It's mayhem, not "fun". It's disturbing the peace and it's against the law. You'll understand someday when you're 50 or 60 yrs old.
