I honestly don't know why more of these guys don't just head straight for downtown LA. with all the buildings and overpasses it's hard for a chopper to follow you, and with all the traffic if you're driving good enough the pursing cars will almost always pull off the chase, there's another video of a white hellcat outrunning the chopper and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same driver cause dude had nearly identical driving skills and moves.

Driving a sports car fast is different from driving a regular car fast. It is much more controlled in a sports car.

all of the sudden everyone is a fan of this criminal xD (almost like rooting for him and on his side)

With how that jaguar was rolling at the end, it wouldve been easier to just simply hold the car back and hope that you can creep it to a stop. Seeing that cop try to go for the door was kinda funny, especially with how far it rolled on the road

Ever take your foot off the brake in a car with an automatic transmission? Most cars just roll under their own power at 1 to 2 mph on a perfectly level street. It takes a fairly significant incline for a vehicle to do nothing at all when taking the foot off the brake. In other words, it wasn't going to stop of its own accord until it ran into something stationary and immovable like the light pole at the end. Good luck with trying to stop 2,500 lbs of steel, glass, and plastic at any speed with your own physical strength. That's like benching at least 500 lbs continuously. Police generally don't put in that much effort. The attempt at the door was reasonable, if ultimately futile.

One thing. The chopper guy said newer model jag. That’s the old f type. They changed the headlights and lines slightly in 2021. This is a model from 2013-2020.

You got to admit. the escape was pretty good. High speeds pulls off PD; go to certain areas; last go under a bridge to void helicopters. Either blend in with crowd under pass or have someone have a car ready under there. 🤔🤔🤔

He kept that Jaguar rolling to divert the attention of the helicopters to it IoI. That was a fast smooth run and getaway.

I love how media hypes things up “extremely dangerous […] the driving has been erratic, weaving between lanes”. At those speed, no, the driving has been remarkably safe and measured. Switching lanes, because that’s how you get though traffic going slower, but always returning to a lane when possible, sticking to lanes when there’s no cars in the way, smooth lane transitions, excellent smooth braking to deal with obstacles, no erratic sudden swerves, no erratic sudden stops, no erratic decision making- clear calculation of the road as a flat surface with moving obstacles (as opposed to all the lights, turn signals, and other normal rules), while still respecting things like lanes when possible, and hanging back when not possible (some of the on-off ramps). This is either somebody who’s played a lot of sim racing and maybe GTA V, and/or somebody with some serious IRL track time, and/or somebody who drives and steals fast cars for a living.

This is basically how a lot of these drivers get away. They know the police will back off. Then they go ghost under the under pass.

Jaguars, at high speeds, eats a lot of gas. Chances are the car was abandoned because it either was very low on gas or plain ran out. It is hard to steal a car, running from the police and attempting to "Fill 'er Up" and not get caught.
