This is probably one of Kansas' top 5 songs. Add "Nobody's Home" to the list while we are at it!

More combined talent than any other band alive! Steve's keyboard solos were off the chart!!

Livgren is the simply the greatest american rock composer (maybe Steve Morse). Listen to the interplay of all the parts on his compositions. Song for America, Pinnacle, Journey from Mariabron... and on and on.

This sounds amazing! Robby's kicking ass on that violin! His voice sounds great, too! It's a little painful to watch and listen to Steve struggle with the vocals-he is still a great singer, but he used to be such a vocal phenomenon.

Correct date on this is 3/1/97. I saw the show a week later in Hollywood, FL. **AMAZING** set list. Steve played The Spider complete. They only played Hopelessly Human for about 1 month or so and then it was dropped from the set and hasn't returned since.

Great song! One of the things I like so much about this song are the wicked keyboard solos (organ solo @ 4:07; synthesizer solo @ 4:28). It makes me wonder why Kansas has chose to eliminate so many of these classic keyboard solos from their live show. I realize that many of these synth solos, such as those in "Song For America" and "Journey to Mariabronn" were originally played by Kerry, but I have no doubt Walsh could play them if he only would take the time to learn them. On the other hand, maybe the band as a whole, has made the decision to eliminate these solos. If this is the case, I wish they would reconsider their decision. I dare anybody to watch this video again, and tell me that these solos weren't powerful in concert.

this has always been a great song, nice to see them play it with such energy! you have some great Kansas videos that I have not seen before. I have Live at the Whisky on VHS, Device Voice Drum on DVD, and the new Know Place Like Home that just came out. the Live at the Whisky videos seem to be alternate versions that don't seem the same as my VHS, were they from a DVD? is that album still available, or is it out of print?

@VoxLesPaul I did not shoot this... 'was just blessed w/a copy> I was told the person who shot it but it's never been confirmed though it was illuded too in an eleveator in Atlanta in 2002 after "Device Voice Drum" shooting

I think Robby also left again, because they was to much on tour. They are all not still 20 years old.
