KSU got hot and finished season strong... They also gave Stoops and OU their only loss in all their Big 12 title games.... i still say to this day that Bill Snyder is one of the greatest college coaches ever... he took KSU out of the bottom, and made them a top 20 program... He even once had the Stoops brothers and Brent Venables on his staff... 🌈

As a K-State fan living in Nebraska at the time, I had SO much fun rubbing Huckster fans' faces in this one! (Call it sweet revenge for the trash talk I got for being a K-State fan there at the height of Nebraska's football power in the mid to late 1990s.) Even their "touchdown" wouldn't have counted if plays had been reviewed at the time, so the actual final score was 38-2 Cats. I also remember some crybaby two-year-old trapped in a man's body who was Nebraska's defensive coordinator at the time cussing Snyder out after the game for "running up the score". What was that guy's name again? Bo something, wasn't it?
