I was in the stands in 1989 against North Texas, my junior year, finally experiencing my first KSU victory after going through the 0-27 years. Rushed the field, jumped on the goal post, carried it to the Last Chance and cut it apart. The 4’ section of goal post is in my office today and is one of my most prized possessions.

Hard to explain my feelings on this video. Some of these games were not only my first memories of kstate and football, but the first memories of life at all. 2002 season I remember going to a day care while my parents went to game lol. 2003 I vaguely remember, mostly the loss to Marshall. In 2004 I began to really remember things, as I would've been 6. I remember the night before Darren sproles final homegame vs isu I cried to my mother because I'd miss him. 2006 Texas was the first really loud game I remember, and I believe my first time going on the field. 2011 a&m was the most nervous I felt. The 2012 season was such a happy time till the heartbreak, I still remember how well we played against OSU, and the cannon smoke at those night games. 2013 was a painful season but one of my favorites, as I was obsessed with the team, Daniel Sams, and our resurrected season. Anyways, thanks John for posting this.

I can remember where I was during the majority of these moments. My first KSU game was the 82 Independence Bowl as a 6 month old baby. This team means so much more to us than the average college football fan and living in Oklahoma since 91...it means even more lol!

God Bless Coach Snyder--a wonderful gift to college football....I always liked K State teams and then I realized I like how Coach gets things done...I'm an ND fan who appreciates great coaches and he is definitely one of the greats in my book.

As a Tech fan I loved the 2011 win against A&M. When Tech’s kicking situation fell apart against K State in the Kingsbury years and we gifted you that game, I felt like that was the beginning of the end for him and his tenure. You guys have a storied program and I hope you survive this debacle.

Great memories! I saw many of these in person and such awesome excitement and electricity! Probably my favorite was the win over Nebraska in the snow and the hit by Carter to seal the deal on fourth down. It was surreal with the snow.

John, very nicely done. My only small quibble: the 1993 win over Oklahoma, where Mitch Holthus talks about Bill "Moses" Snyder.

Totally fair. That was a great one and an all-time quote from Holthus.

I was going to question the 2000 Oklahoma game but that moment WAS/IS the loudest excitement I've ever heard. The officials were terrible in that game, particularly when they blew a play dead just as Jonathan Beasley moved through a pile and emerged from the other side near full speed.

Actually Deion has more college head coaching experience than Lincoln Riley had when he took over Oklahoma. He seemed to be doing OK. He's been involved in football longer than Sean McVay been living, but if he took one of these college jobs most will say he's a great hire. The double standard is very telling.

Husker fan here. Didn't see our 99 game in there. What happened? Haha jk sorry. The reason for the comment is how is that the 2000 Oklahoma game when 2000 Oklahoma won the ship? Did they go 12-1 or something? I'm sincerely asking.
@JohnKurtzShow3 жыл бұрын
Hey Dillon. Totally understand the question. OU did win that game. But K-State fell behind by 24 in the second half and after that blocked punt got it to only 7 with plenty of time left. It’s generally regarded as the loudest moment in Bill Snyder Family Stadium (then KSU Stadium) history. There’s a lot more that goes into that - top ten matchup, gameday was there, there was anger from coaches leaving K-State for OU during the 98 run, etc - that led to a pretty incredible moment even in a loss.
@dillonblake28153 жыл бұрын
@@JohnKurtzShow OK that makes sense. And I take back the 99 comment as that was in Lincoln. I've been kind of on a K-State kick lately after watching the documentary narrated by Mike Rowe. "Miracle in Manhattan" I think it is called. I had pretty much given up all hope on my Huskers after last week's embarrassment but watching that reminded it takes time. Thanks for the reply.

K-State barely lost that game to the national champions. Gave Oklahoma their toughest test of the entire year in 2000
