Caught a Crappie on a Top Secret Jig yesterday was the first time I got to use them extensively while Crappie fishing! Super effective jigs! Awesome video, live scope is amazing to watch!

I’ve also rigged my mount up, so I can drive my boat 50 mph with the transducer in the mount, but just simply pulled up. I simply bought a second black cone and positioned it closer to the transducer. It’s seems unimportant, but as you know the 2-6 min of time that I save is huge in the scope of fishing efficiency.

Take a look at fishing specialties mount. It’s very simple, but can be placed much quicker than the ram mount DIY. I used the same one you have for about 9 months. I only fish for “dimes”, ie. “Hubcaps” and am running two scopes

I actually really like how you have your transducer set up. When I see people with their transducer set up on the trolling motor, I've always wondered how they use spot lock on their trolling motor with live scope going. My only questions are, how long is your transducer pole and do you ever have issues when pointing the transducer at the trolling motor or is it not a issue because the transducer is sitting lower then then the trolling motor in the water column and if that is the reason how much lower is your transducer? Thanks for your time!

Does your Garmin unit have Active Captain? You can record your display on your phone.

Because I use spot lock vertically jigging fish a lot. If it was on the trolling motor there would be too much movement in the picture. The separate pole gives me more control.

Hook up your active captain, your video of the graph is really good with the app

You can’t record your screen unless the unit is compatible with the Helm feature of the Active Captain app, which Echomap units are not.

So i have mixed feelings about livescope. I know that many folks wouldn't fish crappie without it...or would be about 70% less successful. Unfortunately for us exclusive crappie fisherman this has brought a huge amount of bass fisherman into our competition pool. Thus dividing the pie once again. For a meager $3000.00 you can get the Garmin livescoped system. I guess once the slot on bass is lowered crappie fisherman can switch back to bass. And eventually the bass fisherman will follow with the $70k boats.

Michael Harris you'll learn even tho it looks easy this is no different from flasher fishing or using 2d sonar while jigging, the image is real time but just because you see them doesn't mean it's a guaranteed bite, as the livescope guys say just because you see them doesn't mean your going to catch them.
