Our Kanso® recipient Diya Jain, beams with joy as she can now listen to the most intricate sounds around her.
Born with profound hearing loss, Mr. & Mrs. Nitin Jain only learned about Diya’s hearing loss when she was 18 months old. To tackle Diya’s hearing loss, they immediately got her a stem cell therapy from China. The solution, however, caused excess pressure on the ears due to unclear hearing. This put Diya through enormous headaches and continued misery. Her parents then started looking for a better and a permanent solution for their daughter’s hearing problem. After extensive research, her parents decided to opt for a Cochlear implant to end Diya’s woes and got her 1st implant when she was 4 & later upgraded to Kanso®. Diya got her 2nd implant at the age of 11 years with Kanso®.
After a brief period of Diya’s hearing journey with Kanso®, She excels at yoga. Diya loves to participate in her school annual functions & recites poems in Spanish and so she does just like a normal child.

Hello Bindu, No, the previous processor was working fine too, but the family chose to go for a Kanso upgrade because of the benefits it provides.
