Wonderful! It's great to have this record, I'm so sorry that Wallace Roney passed away from COVID-19. I just bought a Kanstul trumpet (Marvin Stamm French Besson) and while researching it found this video. I've toured the factory while Zig was still alive, and it's great to see and hear that this concert took place. Thanks again.

The amazing Wallace Roney bringing up the next batch of potentially great players; the drummer IS 13!?!!...sounds like a young Elvin Jones in more than a few ways. God bless you Wallace Roney for teaching the youth about the amazing and great things like profound music and living a life. I hear respect and the influence of Eric Dolphy on this live record, not like this music hasn't surpassed your musical mentors at this point; and this certainly feels sincere and fresh as humans/people can make, and this recording demonstrates the potential for Jazz to stay alive and well. Please know you are appreciated in the deepest ways Mr. Roney. Thanks!

Wallace Roney (born May 25, 1960, Philadelphia) is an American jazz (hard bop and post-bop) trumpeter.[1] Roney took lessons from Clark Terry and Dizzy Gillespie and studied with Miles Davis from 1985 until the latter's death in 1991. Wallace credits Davis as having helped to challenge and shape his creative approach to life as well as being his music instructor, mentor, and friend; he was the only trumpet player Davis personally mentored.

20:55 "preserve" actually means to keep something in good condition, and I have to say jazz is still in very good condition and still going strong 🎺

Really. This doesn't sound like Miles in the same category. He's done better music. This one is not it.
